Two iconic republic ships go head to head in a comparison review video. One starring in the opening scene of Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, the other first aired in the opening episode of The Clone Wars. Both are long retired sets. The wolfpack clones actually changed their colors from dark red to grey/blueish gray after the malevolence wiped out the majority of them in season 1.

I think i mentioned the blue/ grey was from season 2 after most of them died out but you are absolutely right I don’t think I was very clear with the info on that part. Good catch !

They better release an ARC-170 next year. It'll have been 15 years since the last one and it would be the 20th anniversary of Revenge Of The Sith. It's myself and many other's favorite starfighter in the series. All it needs are 3 Clone Pilot minifigures and it'd be perfect.

I love the republic frigate. It’s one of my all time favourites and while I don’t have all of the mini figures I still proudly have it on display with my republic collection

Very nice comparison! I enjoy those type of videos. In the future, you should do more side by side comparison shots such as different angles if each ship next to each other!

I dont know if the pieces of you're 2011 Friagate needs cleaning. But several months back I re-assembled mine again from when I first got it in 2011. Had no issues with any of the hinges or hatches and how they pop off for yours.

That’s odd. Mines not dirty or anything just maybe the pieces are really new and the hinges haven’t broken in yet from opening and closing.

fun fact about eith Koth is that he is canonically dead by the events of the Clone wars TV show in legends & cannon due to him being killed in the events of the Clone wars movie episode II & despite being told he was dead by Lee Land Che; Dave who doesn't care what he is told going against both George & the guy in charge of the whole cannon of star wars decided to have him appear despite being dead. Dave may have made a good show but damn does he have an ego problem. (also apologies for any misspelt Sci-Fi jargon or Asian names I am not the best with spelling them kinda things & am too lazy to properly check them.

@@anthony_collects I only know it because of some video I watched about how The clone wars doesn't fit into legends but I think Disney has a pretty good place for it as they trashed all the other legends stuff & kept the clone wars.

I'm so glad more people are starting to realize that Dave Filoni was always a hack, and the reason Clone Wars/Rebels had good writing was due to other members on the team. Not him.

I never really paid attention to these ships but it's awesome to see how close they are to the Tantive IV, which is on purpose of course. I prefer the frigate for all of it's weapons and the crusier for it's color scheme and iconic look. I can't really choose between the 2. Anyway, great review. I was suprised to see you didn't have like at least 10,000 subscribers.

I got the frigate in 2012 as a middle schooler and I absolutely loved playing with it and the features were incredible. Still looks good on my shelf 10 years later

What's weird is that there's a Saesee Tiin action figure from 2000 that had a card showcasing a modified, gray Republic Cruiser, predating TCW's Republic Frigate by about nine years.

For me I prefer the cruiser. I believe people only like the frigate because of the figures and don't look at the actual sets (a toxic problem in the lego star wars community imo). They turned an iconic ship that bursted with color into a grey blob like every other ship.

Yeah I get what you mean. I like the frigate because of the layout (I love how many guns it has) but the color scheme and antennas are better on the more iconic crusier.

Definitely is expensive. In my opinion worth it if you can find a decent deal. Keep your eyes open on places like Facebook marketplace maybe you’ll get lucky like me

Frigate is my favorite ship Lego set , I modded mine out to be a battleship lol, plus I got all the figures still 💯, and the dorms and hatches never fall off mind 😎

I never had the problem with the hinges on the clone wars version. You might just have a lot of dust in your joints. Try cleaning those parts and that will make it much better

Very rough estimates here: 2007 cruiser would be around 135 2011 frigate would be 165 I’ll definitely add those numbers in the next comparison video thanks for the idea.

Just looked into it. According to bricklink That young obi wan head is on 13 figures and appeared in 15 different sets including numerous times on Luke minifigs.

@@anthony_collects actually i just double checked and i have to fact check myself, gunship pilots specifically were known as "Plo's Bros" and they were the ones with that written on their vehicles, so I guess it's not super relevant to the ones in the cruiser. still rules tho

I think it's because they helped rescue Eeth Koth (not sure if I spelled it right). The 104th is famous for rescue operations, and I could have sworn that they were involved with his rescue. I could be wrong though because it's been a while since I watched The Clone Wars.

The best way to avoid it is to speedrun your video by your editing! So there is no boring part and everyone happy at the end of the day! Trust me you will see a big change!

It’s something with talking over clips I’m not very good at it yet. But when I’m holding the camera and just saying whatever I want it’s much faster and easier for me. This type of video was definitely out of my comfort zone. I’ll get better
