Hello Jeroen Ottens, how heavy is this load? Does it still turn? A crane is to move things, but without turning, hmmm.... Maybe the whole crane is overdesigned and underpowered?

Most model cranes run into turning problems at this scale. Its a problem of the weight load to scale. There is also a lot of pretension in the string compared to actual wire that causes this effect too.

@@TheDarkfighter101 Of course is it difficult to build something out of plastic, which in reality uses high strenght steel. But: it is all a question of dimensioning and cunstruction, especially od the turntable and the upper carriage, where the force concentration is at its most. 2 m boom lenght, 70 cm load distance with 1,5 kg is absolutely feasible with LEGO, and turns smoothly under this very load, all in pure Lego (but the strings) at about 1:12 scale, did that 10 years ago, all technic with studs, 3 part telescopic boom with negative pretension. I am currently working on a more modern MOC in 1:16, almost studless, 8x8 drive and steering, real AT capabilities and a boom of about 1,5 m, lifting and turning 1,5 kg easily with about 35 cm load distance to turntable center. In the years, I developped some genuine tech for the turntable, upper carriage and actuators, not mentioning for 4-part telescopic boom, fully closed in all sections, with maximum weight/strenght by using mostly 5x11, 3x11 and 3x11 rounded technic panels. Maybe I once should publish all of this on YT....;-)
