This is just a beautiful set, and a truly representation of what lego really is for me. You have a set with instruction that you can build and on the other side, some cool ideas of what you can do with that set and with your imagination. I wish more modern sets were like this.

Couldn't agree more. Stuff like this built LEGO's success, and I'd love to see more of a return to this type of model and marketing philosophy.

The sets reviewed hit that perfect nostalgia spot, your MOCs are nothing but a combi of wholesomeness and quality, and your voice and presentation is sooo enjoyable to watch and listen to. I was truly shocked to see how relatively new this channel is, so I'm eager to tag along and see what it'll grow into :)

So glad you stumbled across the channel, and very impressive you've made it through so many videos already! 😂 But yeah, this is a relatively recent project, a concept that came up while we were shooting LEGO Masters, and with encouragement from my castmates and even from my college professors and classmates I decided to give it a to, and I'm so glad I did! It has been such a fun and rewarding experience. Very excited for the future!

50 bucks modern for 175 pieces feels really, really bad, but I think it's just one of those things that was the result of early LEGO. I've seen pictures of classic space stuff but seeing it on video, with a person in the frame... there's something fascinating about it. There's a level of simplicity that is so endearing. It's so different than modern lego, which has had decades of experience and iteration and parts expansion to create building techniques, while this is just bricks and plates stacked on top of each other.

It's so hard to explain, isn't it? There's such a wonderful magic to these, a timelessness that I don't think can be recreated.

It's lovely seeing the classic space sets get some love with the current Insiders Rewards offering Desktop/Mobile wallpapers - I've definitely been tempted to look for the Space Supply Station (6930), which was one of the sets I had growing up in the 80s. There were some really great boxes back in the day. Especially loved the ones where you could open the front flap and see inside. I wish they would bring that back, at least for some of the largest sets. I suppose it's different now because sets are sold online moreso than in physical stores these days - less need to go all in on the packaging.

I think the raised moon base plate is the best thing LEGO did for the Space theme. No matter the ages and color scheme changes the plate remain the best one for play and display.
