I went to cypress garden in the spring of 1973 a 6th grade school trip!! Glass bottom boats you could see fish swimming underneath the boats!!!

I have pictures of our family at the botanical gardens in Florida. I was so enamored with The ladies in the southern belle dresses. I thought they were so pretty. I wanted to be one sadly they closed it down. Thanks for rekindling old memories.....😊😊😊💕 and happy times.

You brought up nostalgia for me. We took our children to Cypress Gardens & to Disney World in 1973. There were live southern belles dressed in fancy gowns sitting throughout the gardens waving as you passed.

I was a ride operator here when it was Cypress Gardens. It is good to see legoland is part of florida. Good to see all the people enjoying it again.

I ❤ Legoland and I can't wait to go there someday. I think the one thing that amazed me was the water show because some of the actors are in Lego costumes and you can only imagine how hard it is to move in one nonetheless ride a jet ski in one and then the fear of falling into the water while your still in the Lego costume.

There’s a cypress gardens here in South Carolina you can visit! They just opened again after 3 years of damage after the hurricane back then.

I remember playing with Lego's with my Brothers. That was before they added characters. I worked in Kaufmann's Department store & remember like it was yesterday, the Lego display of little houses that were on exhibit on one of our floors. I worked on the 9th floor in credit office, so I'm thinking they were on the 10th floor. They were so fascinatingly neat just as they are today! Thank you for sharing! Loved your video!

Wow😬you was just 20 minutes up the road from my home in lake wales . Glad to see ya in our neck of the woods enjoying Legoland. You would've enjoyed the original cypress gardens more so than Lego land i believe and the botanical gardens is awesome . you're pretty busy here in Florida visiting waltdisney world and Busch gardens tampa. The weather here is just to muggy and I'm ready to move to your neck of the woods smoky mountains 😁enjoy Florida brother👍👍

If the buildings have a statue of the person in it, it is a Memorial, so it is the “ Jefferson Memorial”, not Jefferson Monument. Only the Washington Monument has no statue - all the rest are Memorials.

Yes, they do. The apples are sliced just like French fries, then cooked. They are served with a kind of frosting dipping sauce. It is a treat I’ve only ever seen at Legoland.

What an awesome place. Im so glad they kept so much of Cyprus gardens. Loved the egyptian ride think that was my favorite. What a cool effect to be able to see your face plus the ride when you were on the roller coaster. That was amazing. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤

i live in orlando but ive never been here, it looks really cool, better than i expected, but i kind of wish they had a museum that showed like all of the sets they have made built and set up. thats what i was expecteing it would be. all the statues and stuff are cool too but i would love to just see all of the lego sets completed and put on display.

That figure does kind of resemble you, but not nearly enough mutton chop.😁 I am pleasantly surprised that they Kept a part of the original Cypress garden intact and even paid homage to it. That's something you don't see too often.

Denise Boldea My daughter got married at the gazebo at Cypress Gardens which I believed Legoland kept. Cypress Gardens was a magnificent botanical garden. We have gorgeous wedding video of the gardens.

I went here when I was 14 and I was definitely disappointed, mostly because "Oopen gangndam style" was blasting over the radio and everyone kept dancing and it was pissing me off. It never matched up to my little child fantasys.

I walked those sidewalls when I was 16, 26 years ago. I got to see those beautiful women in their amazing dresses. I'm so sad to hear it is gone because I was going to take my granddaughter and daughter there.

“Classic” Cypress garden’s didn’t really have rides. There were some boats, later there was a lift which raised guests up for a scenic view, but that was it. After CG closed (the first time) a new owner brought in a few off the shelf carnival grade rides. Then it closed for good. I think Legoland preserved the old lift ride and re-themed it, but I don’t know if it’s still there now. I know all the “carny” rides are gone.

Jacob - careful around the Lego stuff. Loved it as a kid, and now as an almost-50 year old, I've got (and used) the means to expand my collection. Pretty significantly, actually. Once a fan, you just become an AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego).
