Sheldon (@sheldonnicholasphotog) and I made a trip up north to Towanda, PA to catch the Lehigh Railway, recently purchased by RJ Corman, as they go about their Sunday activities on October 17th, 2021. We were hoping we'd chase the Sayre turn heading north and back from Towanda, but the railroad had other plans. It seemed the Lehigh had a lot of switching to do at the massive Sand transload in Wysox, Shale Rail. The Wyalusing job, LRWY-2 and the Towanda job, LRWY-1 would both be working around town most of the day, shuttling and spotting sand cars around. The -2 would be working with an RJ Corman GP38-2, RJCP 5700, while -1 used one of the ex-CP SD40-2s, LRWY 5700. We stuck around to catch a little bit of the action before heading south to the R&N. Enjoy!
LRWY-1 - LRWY 5700
LRWY-2 - RJCP 3844
00:00 - Into
00:11 - LRWY-2 - Craftmaster Road - Wysox, PA
03:18 - LRWY-1 - Shale Rail - Wysox, PA
Thanks for watching!
