My top plate was loose and all I wanted to do was tighten it up. This was perfect. I didn’t even have to take the wind lever off completely to tighten it up. Thank you.

Hi John, my M6 top plate is loose at the viewfinder end, so if I follow your instruction by removing the rewind knob and then tightening the screw below it, I could fix the problem? Thanks!

Couldn't even get the rewind knob off. When I held the inside part it just removed that. Tried to loosen the flat head on top of the winder and it just ended up breaking the screw driver.

Hi John, I had to do the very task many times over the years during my time as a photo journalist. I had trouble with the rewinder, it came loose twice a year. the two screws inside would not hold. I´m just wondering, did you ever had any experience with the white dot on the curtain for the light meter. Mine has faded and the metering is basically wrong. Any idea how to fix this? Repainting?
