Lemon Meringue Pie, SIMPOL

I’m so excited and happy to share my personal recipe of lemon meringue pie! Baking this recipe reminds me of my younger years. Lagi ko kasing pinagba-bake si mommy nito! I hope you love this light and citrusy dessert that tastes like heaven, oh diba? Looks like complicated pero I’m sure it’s very simpol to make! Try this for Noche Buena!
Ingredients:
Set A
2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
1 cup Arla Salted Butter
½ tsp salt
¼ cup cold milk
Set B
5 large egg yolk
1 can condensed milk
1 ½ cup Arla UHT Full Cream Milk
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 tbsp lemon zest
2 tablespoons Arla Salted Butter
Set C
5 large egg whites
1 tsp cream of tartar
¼ cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
Set D
Egg yolk
2 tablespoons Arla UHT Full Cream Milk
Salt

@@ChefTatung that's one of my favorite dessert when I first tried it in culinary school I only took professional baking...I got so in live with the taste. You made it so simple and easy at the same time the same look how it is when you do it in a long process. But yours it's so easy, short process but still no looked so good.

Hi chef! Thanks for the recipe, just made this morning and it's really good. However, after baking the pie, it becomes watery. Do you have any tips to avoid it? Thank youuu

Make a thicker custard. Remove condensed milk to reduce water in the custard, replace with sugar to taste, cook until thick like paste, add butter to thicken further. Pour into crust, refrigerate overnight to thicken further. Make merengue use broiler (heat source on top only) to brown.
