Lemon Pound Cake Just Like Grandma's

Lemon Pound Cake 3:05
2 sticks of butter
1/4 cup crisco
3 cups sugar
5 eggs room temp
3 cups ap flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup of milk
1 Tbls vanilla
1 Tbls lemon
Mix according to video instructions.
Preheat oven to 350° but turn down to 325° when cake goes in. Bake for 1 and 1/2 hours

There is nothing better than licking the batter bowl of a pound cake! That’s one of my favorite memories of my mama. She would make pound cake, and I would get to lick the beaters and bowl. Yum!

I say this every time I see you. You are sweet as cotton candy. And the joy of the Lord shines through you. Been praying for you this very night at 7. Pray for us as well...we have a funeral in the morning. A grandson was born after midnight Saturday way to early to live. After 3 little girls in a row they were excited for a boy. God knows best. But they are broken hearted.

My Mom made pound cake all the time, she would also make a blueberry sauce to put over it, omgee...so good, that would be great with this lemon cake. Enjoy!!! Ohhhh I got my t-shirt today, can't wait to wear it and see how many people notice & know " if the grease is hot enough..." 😍

Hey there friend👋🏼. Never heard of a sad streak. I thought you were gonna tell us you’ve been feeling blue or sad lately 🤣🤣. I was starting to feel bad for ya!! When I flip my Bundts upside down for on the platter I quickly turn them again so the top part is always the top part. I never cared for the bottom turned up to be the top. Personal thing I guess🤷‍♀️. Looks delicious. Love lemon anything. Darlene 🌷🇺🇸

If you turn it out on a plate after out of the oven a few minutes wrap it in foil good and it will make it real moist .This is what my grandma use to do .Thank you for sharing will try it.God bless you and your family today and always.

Yummyyy..got my eggs and butter coming to room temp..hubby said he is going to make this cake (with my guidance lol) today.Can hardly wait til I am able to stand long enough to start cooking again.The accident has put me out of commission for awhile However God in all his goodness is healing me..and hubby has been with me every step of the way in this journey. 💗God bless u and I can't wait to try this recipe

I had to comment again on this recipe. I baked one to take on vacation. It was a humongous hit! Even the grands that are very picky loved it. We came back home this past Saturday, and I made another one this morning. Have to admit, I’ve already had two pieces. .... Not so good for my dieting. It was so worth it, and it was just a hint warm. Oh my goodness, if anyone likes pound cake, you have to give this a try.

I'm making this for my husband this weekend. Our absolute favorite desert is lemon cake. I usually buy the 7up cake but now I can make this. I usually put a glaze on my bundt cakes but I bet its good either way. I've been wanting a good homemade lemon pound cake recipe for so long. I can't wait to taste it.

I made this cake 5-18-21 absolutely delicious!. As it was baking ohhh, the aroma. I thought if this taste as good as it smells were into something good. And it is..some is in freezer. Thank you for sharing and please don't over exhaust yourself, naps and love are best ingredients for everyday enjoyment..🙏

So funny... I watched this video last night. This morning I was thinking about meatloaf for supper and I just got on here to see if you had a video for your meatloaf. I casted it to the t.v. In that video you were saying you just made a pound cake and you had that video up. Then you said you were expecting a grandbaby. I was all excited, then when you started talking about being called Bubbles I looked and seen it was an older video! 😆

We all end up with a day from time to time that things don't go as planned. I love pound cakes. I have to get a tube pan before I can make this Lemon Pound Cake definely want to make this. Hay time on a farm can throw meal times off regular meal times. My Grandparents on Mom's side was a dairy farming family. Besides farming equipment breaking in the field that had to be repaired, weather could cause longer time in the field trying to get all the hay bailed in one day instead of being divided among two days all could result in delayed meals.
