Hey guys, so guys new Supergirl edit what a big shocker. I was meant to finish the Sanvers edit this week but that didn't happen so I can promise it'll be the next video up!
So, I find Lena Luthor to be one of the most interesting characters this season! Is she evil or isn't she, who knows? But I LOVE IT! (I don't think she is, but who knows right?)
We've got a Supercorp video in the works, but I'm waiting until the final Lena episode to actually finish it. Because I want to do it justice so yeah, sorry I'm keeping you all waiting but I want to make it the best it can be!

That not true the last scene of season 4 and last episode she made a crack in the picture fram and the picture has kara/supergirl in it.Watch the ending and you will see

I don't think she's evil, but I agree with you about Lena being such an interesting character! I hope the writers do justice to her bc I really love Lena and I hope they keep writing her so beautifully. Katie McGrath is amazing

Oh yeah definitely, Katie was definitely the right person to cast she's charismatic and mysterious but gives the character a sense of power with some vulnerability I love characters like this.

Lena is so good! She has always been different. She wasn't like her mother but she was afraid that she will become evil. At the end, she excepted who she was and she shined so bright. I love how Lilian said to her that she need to embrace herself and to forget what everyone else thinks of her. ❤️

I love Lena, her story makes me sad but also hopeful (standing up to her abusive mother and the legacy of her name etc) so I hope they won't just make her evil, would be really disappointing for me. Great vid and I'm looking forward to your SuperCorp vid :)

I know what you mean, I am hoping she overcomes this 'Luthor' stereotype they keep referring too. It wouldn't be disappointing to me though either way I'll still love her character.

There's been some episodes since I made that comment, since then we've learnt Lena has tried to find a cure for cancer, was making a device that she believed would end famine, climate change and make world not depended on fossil fuels, saved Supergirl and it was also established she isn't power hungry - all of this finally telling us that she really hasn't been secretly evil to this point like the show has been teasing us. To me, it would now make zero sense that she became evil or villain (even with all the loss she's dealing with, it was too obvious dialogue to be a subtle foreshadowing) and it would go against the bigger narrative Supergirl has had had from season 1 Winn to season 2 M'gann and Mon-El: that even though you come from bad upbringing and bad parents, it doesn't define who you are, you can still choose to be good. I mean of course the show can and will do whatever it wants, but for me it wouldn't make any sense. Making her a morally grey character would be at least more believable than evil or villain of the season.

fadingwhisper87 fadingwhisper87 I agree I don't think she is evil. She is as good as can be. However, I do think she will become bad though. Kara will inadvertently let her down and she will feel betrayed by her only friend. She will do what she has to do not for power but because in her mind she is right. She will make bad decisions that are a result of her turned world view. This story has happened with Clark and Lex. They were friends and something happened. It'll be the same here. What people seem to forget is that even Lex isn't completely bad. There is always a grey area with him. I believe that will be the case with Lena. They are building her and Kara's friendship to blow it apart later. It needs to be personal between them otherwise she's a half-assed villain like Lillian. Lol. Other then that I agree with pretty much the rest of your response.

I will be even more disappointed if they mimic the dynamic between Lex and Superman, I want Supergirl stand on its own feet as a show and not just go trough all the motions Superman does. + Kara needs good female friends that aren't related to her, I hope they hire new villains for that reason too.

Well, Lena has a mean mommy, her mom, well stepmom is a better term, tried to murder her best friend on multiple occasions- hence the charge of Lillian being a mean mom is quite accurate.
