I wish they found an even prettier actress to play Shu like actresses Qin Lan, Dong Xuan, or Tong Liya. She is so pretty in the script that the Emperor accepted her as a gift from his stepmother (hence Shu is an obvious spy for her) letting his lust cloud his logic. He is usually very meticulous in preventing the Dowager Empress‘s power grow through adding spies into his harem. But Shu was just too beautiful to pass up.
