I used to play this every morning on my way to work, maybe the song doesn’t pertain the way it is, but I used to sing it and hold my belly, of my unborn daughter, she’s now 11.. song is still special to me. Thank You Lenny for allowing this single mother to not feel alone during her pregnancy 💜💜

There's loads of great music still being made, you just have to look. I read somewhere that there were some like 23 or 30 million songs on Spotify that received zero listens last year. I'm always discovering "new" music, even if some of it is 30+ years old now.

Music is still good today. In fact there always was good and bad music. You just remember the good ones. I recommend you look up outside of your comfort zone, it's always a mindblowing experience to discover something new. I listen to a lot of music from the 50s to the 20s (2020 obviously) be it from movies, just songs or from videogames. The number of gems hidden outside the classic distribution means (music not made by artists only for the sake of it but like for other supports: cinema, vgs, series, etc...) is impressive.

Mark Seliger invited me to come see him play with his band “Rusty Truck” at the Mercury Lounge (back in the day) and guess who was his musical/ performance mentor, sitting at the bar all aloof and shit - yup - yours truly decked out in leathers and unfriendly like I have always experienced him since I was 21 years of age... THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG OF HIS THOUGH - it’s as good if not better than “It ain’t over til it’s over” from earlier on in his career!

My first concert was Lenny Kravitz! My mom took me as her date and since my mom played him religiously I knew the whole concert. What a feeling, still gives me chills. ❗️😱🙌🏽 Lenny had the whole crowd singing “Let love rule!” The energy was life altering. Lenny saves lives. 💚🧿👏🏽
