Lenny has a lot of holsters, most designed to do one thing particularly well, be it competition, concealed carry, open carry, etc., etc.
But there is one holster that he's particularly fond of… the Galco Royal Guard. In fact, he likes it so much that when we first started selling holsters, he deemed it the "World's Best Concealment Holster."
Over 20 years later, he hasn't changed his mind. When the G43 first came out, we wanted to order these for that model and our SS80's. Galco told us, "Sure. You'll have to buy the entire run but we'll give you an exclusive."
We did it and our customers rewarded us. Thanks!
So when the G48 was announced, we did the exact same thing and we are currently the exclusive distributor of the Galco Royal Guard, aka World's Best Concealment Holster.
It's not cheap, but the best of anything normally isn't.

I have had my Galco RG for my 1911 and Browning HP for decades. Really good quality. Now that Ive moved out of California into a red state where the 2nd is a reality, a right, and not a priviledge, I have carried more often as we have constitional carry and shall issue CCWs. I have my CCW and while we have very low crime here, I pack every so often. But when I go to the big city or across state lines, I'll pack my 1911 or BHP.

Definitely agree! Galco royal guard is an outstanding ccw holster. I have several for various pistols. It's my go to holster.

been using Summer comfort (cow hide version) on duty in plain clothes for close to ten years. Never lost a gun while chasing suspects. Been great.

43x is the perfect carry gun. Capacity, comfort and reliability! Horsehide seems like the way to go. Let the Zombies have the kydex.

Kydex has its uses. It is much less expensive. Doesn't absorb sweat or stink, if you scratch it or slide down a Hillside, you won't care. $39 and buy another one. Scratch up a Galco or Milt Sparks and hand over $150 for another well made leather holster.

Is there a version of this holster that accommodates a TLR6 and a red dot? Or any light fo that matter.

**QUESTION** if someone can answer me this. Regardless of the "belt loops" can this holster stay onto your jeans, or pants with out the use of a belt? Is the "clip" section strong enough or would i require the use of a belt to hold this snuggly in place??? Thank you! 1/5/24

You can take those straps - - soak them in water - - and put them in the oven for about 20 minutes at 200° and it will be just as hard as the horsehide

One made for 19 would work just fine, the grip is the only thing longer.

This could possibly be one of the best holsters on the market... But it sets too high. Bought one years ago, used it about a week and now it's in a box... With probably 30 other "world's best" rigs I've bought. If they could figure out a way to drop the gun down another 3/4 to an inch, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat...

I ordered a left handed version for the 43X directly from Galco. It was considerably more expensive as this needed to be a over the phone order from the Custom shop ($229 total with shipping), but I just view it as a long-term investment since I am confident it will last a long time. Just the cost of being a lefty.

Nah man. Over time leather will mold to the pistol. Its characteristic of leather, then it will pull the trigger on reholster.

Cow hide I get , we eat cows so there's plenty of hides to use. Where are the horse hides coming from? We aren't eating horses and I hope horses aren't being slaughtered just for their hides .

Horse meat is legal in some countries. I've eaten it before and it was good.

Jim Rustle yes, quicker horses allows for a quicker drawl from the holster.
