Lenovo C330 Chromebook, Unboxing

Unboxing a new Chromebook we were interested to find out how fast it really is.
We timed and also filmed it (to show we did not cheat), from opening the box and to getting online. This is how fast it is and what I initially thought of it.

Thanks, I love the feedback and I am glad that the video was of use. My Chromebook is still amazing, it is the choice unit to use for almost everything 'laptop' in my world.

You are welcome - I really enjoyed doing it and am still using the Chromebook - it really has replaced 90% of the work of my laptop! Plus the screen is amazing for Amazon Prime/Netflix watching!

Nice Chromebook, nice video! Still an excellent option for the price, especially if you look at refurbs/customer returns from the larger sellers on ebay. This still has auto updates for Chrome OS until June 2025, so worth anyone buying keeping that in mind for the price they pay. Worth comparing to the newer successors as well, the C340-11 (updates until June 2026) and the Flex 3 which I imagine would have a further year on it (doesn't seem to be listed on the Google Auto Update Policy page yet).

I found 3 of these in an apartment dumpster about 8 days ago. All 3 work!! Do you have a video where you do a power wash on these units? Thank you 🤓

No sorry, I have never had to do it. But there are walk through of how to do it. I think you do have to be logged in however - so this might cause a small problem if there are locked users on it. support.google.com/chromebook/answer/183084?hl=en-GB

Mine happily updates to the latest Android update. It is still an amazing machine, quick, easy to use, battery is great and the screen resolution is simply brilliant (all of it for an amazing price). It is my choice machine to use.

Not a big gamer, but the small games I do play from time to time work perfectly. Outside of working, it mainly gets used as a spare tv screen, the graphics and sounds are still brilliant!

Hi, I have not tried it. I believe they should work but as they are a little unforgiving in the OS I do not want to risk it with mine. There is a walk through on how to do this online.

It really does depend on which country you are in and what retailer you are happy to buy from. I know they were around £200 a few months ago but supply and demand makes things difficult to track.

@@CavemanReviewsUK I have a question for you, I have purchased the Lenovo C330 Chromebook but it's been giving me problems when I connect it to the HDMI port, the sound comes out weird; has yours done that?

@@kancolor77 So glad you got one! I would suggest that the HDMI cable is plugged into a monitor or tv that has speakers. HDMI convert sound as well as image. So it wouldn't be the Chromebook, check the monitor or tv you have plugged into. Hope that makes sense.

@@CavemanReviewsUK The TV I have is a Sceptre, I don't have speakers connected. Is there any way to make the sound come from the TV? It's hard to understand why it won't, my Samsung Chromebook did it.

Hi, this laptop is still available in the UK (being the video is a little old). I can still find one for £245, which is pretty good. amzn.to/3A58s6a hope it helps.

Does it work for Roblox?

Yes, but you have to sign into your Google play store account, download the chrome book version and sign into it that way. Because of how it is set up some features on the chrome book will not work with Roblox such as blue tooth (think bt mouse)... hope this helps.

Yes - I hope Lenovo is listening and I get a shiny new one. Wow this was done quite a few years ago, I am glad people are still looking for info on it. My Chromebook is still going strong and is still a great piece of tech for the money I paid.
