One common cable for LCD and touchscreen? Is it possible to disable the touchscreen function separately from the screen output? The 300E has the standard ghost touch problem.

Hi! Nice tutorial :) I have a question about its Windows version: the touchpad seems to be a little bit loose and it makes a rattle sound when I use it which can be annoying sometimes. Is there any easy way to access to the touchpad ? I want to check if there is any screw that isn't screwed properly or maybe I could add a piece of electric tape to soft mute that. Thanks!

Nice tutorial! Can the RAM be upgraded, or is it like most chromebooks, soldered in place? & the SSD? Can it be upgraded? Thank you 🤓 also, does it help to remove the bottom cover, to access the motherboard, besides removing the keyboard?
@koken23722 жыл бұрын
both RAM and eMMc (not SSD) are soldered so no upgradeable
@j.lietka94062 жыл бұрын
@@koken2372 it is possible to upgrade the RAM, but not easily, as the existing RAM has to be removed & new, higher GB storage soldered in. The eMMC, might be able to be upgraded the same way, but the board would have to support it. Thank you 🤓

5:00 The seam is so tight together that it almost looks like there isn't one. Feels like I'd need an exacto knife or something and even then I'm scared to hurt the surface. It blows my mind that this step is so hard to do. Why the hell are things nowadays made this way? It's not like a regular plunger will do here.

You ever figure this out? Im having major problems because one of my younger kids spilled oj on my oldest daughters keyboard and shes only used this laptop once since today was herfirst day or school

@@Jsmitt716 No, I haven't disassembled the keyboard part on these yet. I sent it in for repair since it wasn't my cost to pay. Sorry I couldn't be of much help :/

This model does not have one, it is a cr50 chip in which you need to bridge 2 pins to disable WP

Do you have a video on how to fix the hinge? One of them works and o e of them is broken
@johnpinion8033 Жыл бұрын
I have a situation like that - appears to be a weakness in the design, which is so excellent overall, but the way I'm going to TRY to fix mine, is after removing the screen, if your break is like mine (which is like a compound or spiral bone fracture, if you know what that is) is wind many turns of fine wire or fishing line around the break with possibly some adhesive to try to get the hinge to function normally. This is the only thing I can think of short of welding or replacement. Let me know how you make out!
