I am getting ryzen 7 at i5 12 gen price... which one to pick?.... and they are giving pen in i3 config but why not in i5 variant

Pen is kinda random, same way with hp envy 2-in-1 Depending which Ryzen 7: if 5700/5800 then it should be a bit better. If it is R 7xxx series - get it

I haven’t tried with ram. Check youtube and reddit. CPUs have similar performance. 16GB is much better than 8GB

either way is fine, it's about price. If equal AMD version is cheaper I always go for it

I have the the one with the Ryzen 7 7730u and is vey satisfied with it. The one thing though if you do anything heavy with it like games, get it off the table with a stand or by propping it up! It can get in the 90-95 degree range quickly on the table, but drops to 75-80 range when given some air ventilation. That's the problem with making these laptops so thin these days, the only way to venting its heat is on the bottom!

it is not a gaming computer, you can play minecraft and roblox and some old games
