This is a slightly different kind of review compared to the average unboxing video that you can find here on KZfaq for the IdeaCentre Gaming 5. In the video I am focusing mainly on the internals, disassembly and the PC parts quality. I check out what parts is Lenovo using for this one, and how good is the overall build quality. Also if you are interested to expand the storage there is a section illustrating how to add an HDD to the build.
I decided to buy this PC and make a video about it so that whoever is thinking of buying it can check beforehand what you will get for your money, or if you already bought it, what upgrade path do you have.
The Lenovo IdeaCentre Gaming 5 is small prebuilt PC's which packs nice hardware at a very appealing price point, i bought this for 840 EUR at a local retailer here in Austria.
Full PC configuration:
*CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G - 6 Core / 12 Threads with Vega 7 Graphics
*Motherboard: AMD B550 chipset
*RAM: Micron 16GB DDR4 (1 stick), 3200MHz
*GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660 Super, 6GB GDDR6
*Storage: 1TB NVME SSD from SK Hynix PCIe Gen3
*OS: Windows 10 Home
*PSU: 310 Watt 80 Plus Platinum SFX
*Network: Wlan 802.11ax + Bluetooth 5.1 + 1000Mbit/s LAN

first you need to buy a better power unit, because the stock one is too weak for the graphics card thats there, this could also improve your fps

Dear uploader, i have question can u run amd ryzen 5600g, can you use the amd software adrenaline version? Beacause i ask, is that i have 5600g with radeon grap desktop and i can not use the software, device manager i can see in processors list i have a 5600g with radeon grap, but last update was 2009!!!

There has been reports that Lenovo was planning to use AMD cpus that have built in fuses to pair with MoBos; making CPU not usable with another system. Also Lenovo Bios has buncha hidden settings and some lock the system with a little group of CPUs even though there would be no compatibility issues. This has been going on like this since late 2021.

@@arbenbytyqi9732 I have the same problem. But I think it is still worth it for the price. ~1000 eu for these kinds of specs are insane. And if it really gives trouble, you can upgrade the Power Supply Unit. But its probebly not neccesary (same with the CPU).

Hi, yes i think you can, but unfortunately you are limited by the 2 memory slots, in theory you should be able to install 2 x 32GB, but i can not confirm it before i test it

@@tadejdanev5030 I don't think you can get more than 32 with ram memory installing. But you can buy USB memory and make it as a installed Memory instead.

You need to find 2 different cables wich would fit your SSD and then plug BOTH cables in

I know this cooler because i tested it in the Legion 5 and it sucked but this time it might do a slightly better because the Ryzen 5 5600G has only 65W TDP

Yes you can add another graphic card but you have to consider de small power supply (310W) that has only 1 x 8pin power connection. I think you can add something like an 6600XT or 3060TI

i want ONE. one friggin guide on how to add another SSD to this shit. I've been struggling for two hours now and none of the videos i find help. Neither do the instructions that say to just click it on, but there's no slot to click it onto that's supposed to be by the ram. And no im not talking about the existing drive. No computer had pissed me off this much before 💀💀💀💀

Have you experienced any problems with the PSU? Or the Cooler? How much is the temperature while play heavy resources games? Thx in advance

i did it and it was very easy it fits in the bottom of the metal case that hinges out. at 3:34 at bottom. cables are quite straightforward if you know your pc setups
