look at videos of it on youtube, it shows people testing gta, minecraft, cs go, watch dogs, fifa. its very good, can run gta 40-50 fps on very high settings online

kinda late XD i have it as well im also playing fortnite gta call of duty bo3/iw rainbow 6 sig and im playing on the max settings most of the time without any lags

I have not used those other laptops but the display on the Y700 is very good for a 1080p display!

i actually regret getting my Y50 because of that heat. i got the Y700 now and i will withdraw my words about it.

***** yes. the screen is OK, the thermals are good and it doesnt heat the keyboard as bad as the Y50.

Sounds like your laptop is going into a battery saving mode. Have you tried messing around with the power setting? Make sure its on high performance and if that doesnt solve it. Then right click into your nvidia icon (right bottom corner). Open Nvidia Geforce Experience > Settings (wheel icon) > There should be an option called Battery Boost. (Make sure that is uncheck. ) Same thing happened to mine and that fixed it. If all that doesnt work I would go to Nvidia Control Panel and set Nvidia as your default video driver and see if that fixes it. Best of luck.

I'm planning to get 1tb m.2 950 for my y700. It's 5x as fast as 850 evo. The price is about 500€ as the 850 evo is 320€. Will be waiting till June-July and see if the price drops.
