you had keystroke mute on for the mic test. you can go into settings and check ignore all effects.

nice review, so this can run almost all fps games, defenitely all MOBA's and most huge open-world games? im planning on playing some COD, overwatch, league of legends and maybe some other games coming out. i can run all of those games on high-ultra setting and run a few different programs like, teamspeak/skype word and a few internet browser things without any reall issues? if anyone that has experience with this laptop could take the time to respond that would be great :3

2016 and this thing still does good

I bought one. this thing is a beast. it's an upgrade from the HP pavilion 17 g199nr. not a big one. but I do get a better graphics card and a quad core skylake i7 processor instead of a dual core i7 on the HP. I did upgrade from that slow hard drive to a ssd recently.

regarding your comment on the GPU i totally agree with you... YES!! They should have introduced this model with the 965m at the very least!!!! but to house a 970m or a 980m the laptop would have to be thicker as those gpus require a more bulkier cooling system. Maybe not the 970m but the 980m definitely requires a bulkier cooling system

Watching this on my Lenovo y700. Must admit, gaming is smooth. It belted the frames for titanfall 2 at 1080p quite good.

Hi, I just bought this version: Lenovo IdeaPad Y700-15ISK 80NV00M9MJ Specs: Intel Quad-Core i7 6700HQ 2.6GHz up to 3.5GHz 8GB DDR4 Ram 128GB SSD+1TB HDD Nvidia Geforce GTX960M 4GB DDR5 15.6" FHD LED Screen My questions: 1. Mine does not have the AntiGlare plastic. Is it normal? 2. I don't know whether it's monitor issue or graphic card. When I play a movie or stream youtube , although it's HD, the quality is not that good. Kinda pixelate and the color is too deep, it too dark and not nice. How to solve this issue? 3. On the bottom, at left and right have some vent with plastic covered. What is that? Do I need to remove the plastic? 4. The battery is not removable. Usually I will remove the battery and use the AC. So for this laptop, to take care of the battery, only plug in the AC, when the battery is low instead of just plug the AC all the time? 5. I cannot install Chrome at all eventhough using offline installer. I hope you can help me. Thanks!

I am just here to say if you own a y510p or any other laptop like the y510p then yes this is a very good upgrade due to way better screen and specs overall with better cooling but if you are coming from a y50-70 the I would say it's up to you because the only major difference is cooling and better ram. CPU is just a little better then the y50 CPU and the build quality of the y700 would be better also the ssd is a very big improvement over the y50

This is a great laptop, so far I have only seen 2 laptops with this CPU and this Graphics card, the other is the Dell XPS 15. The Dell XPS 15 also has (Skylake QuadCore Intel Core i7 CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, Nvidia GeForce 960M). I think both are excelent devices to get top performance for gaming on a laptop.

Great review. I just bought one though I'm not a gamer. It has a nice bright screen, brighter than the Dell or Asus laptops in the same price range - and it has great performance too - equal to the Asus Zenbook and much better than the Dell Inspiron.

i just picked one of this up at best buy for 600 bucks and its doing great im picking up gta 5, and fallout next week so i hope i'll get a good experience out of it.

What to choose between Lenovo Y700 (I7-6700HQ, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD and Nvidia M960) and Asus G551VW (I7-6700HQ, 16GB DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA M960, 1terra and 128GB SSD)? Leaving aside the HDD and SSD, in terms of performance, which is better?

i have this and it runs games very well and the touch pad and the speakers have updated alot to but games that are very graphic intense might have to be run at medium to low setting. I just use the recomended settings and tweak them as i go

but i guess colors can be corrected using a device like spyder right?

Can i upgrade lenovo y700 and dell 7559 with 32gb ram as i need to run VM's along with gaming.

Anybody who has come across compatible IPS panel which can fit on lenovo y700 15.6" non touch model. The display has a yellow tint which completely affects the way colours ought to be.

So I bought that laptop and my keyboard simply is not responding or takes good few seconds when im gaming, only way to avoid it is if i do not use a mouse and disable the touchpad, and in this day you pretty much need a mouse for gaming, it literally makes it impossible to use, any tips on that?
