Never touched my steam deck again since I go the Legion Go. And it will get even better with upcoming updates.

I have the legion go and I will never go back to a handheld with a smaller screen. I had the first steamdeck and the rog ally and I had to bring those handhelds a bit close to my face.

That handheld experience point is dead-on. I grab a handheld for when I want to get into a game now, pause at any moment, put it down and pick it back up seamlessly.

Bro the legion go brings an accessory for the mouse mode to make it feel good

Reason why I like having it on Windows is that it's easier to run emulators instead of working around it. I can't run Switch emulators for example on the Steam Deck but I was able to do it with ease on my ROG Ally.

I really appreciate your honesty. It will take you far in the youtube world. I don't get how these companies have been in business so long and cant get the simple things right. Portable gaming has been a thing for a long time now. They shouldn't be this far behind.

Honestly, I've had a steam deck, ROG ally, and a Legion Go. I can honestly say the Legion Go is easily the best. The screen alone is worth it. I've been using it for about a month and I went back to the steam deck just to check it out and the deck screen seems just so small now. It also has a charging port on top and bottom. The kickstand is a game changer. The sticks, to me, are the best of the 3. And it just feels good in your hands.

From a PC enthusiast standpoint I love it. Compared to my 17' gaming laptop I find the Legion Go super light and it more portable. The weight of it to me is not a problem. It's not even 5lbs. I've have no issues holding it and gaming long periods. I got it December 13 and other than the initial Windows setup and updates I've done very little with adjusting any settings. The most advance thing I've done by far is removing bloatware/ unwanted programs. Everything has been install and play with little to no hiccups. I've also stayed away from AAA titles as well because if I wanted that type of experience I'd play the game on my desktop. This is my first handheld but I do feel the whole handheld genre is niche. If you are looking for a portable console then I would agree this wouldn't be for you. You're looking for a Switch or Steamdeck. This is in every way a handheld portable PC with gaming capabilities. The XL version for those with bigger hands.

I got one open box excellent yesterday for 650. I love it. the screen is amazing and games play really well. There are some things with windows that are annoying, but not that bad for me

I choose the Legion Go since I dont want to bring with me a laptop and another device just for portable gaming but a device that is for my light-edit job and can do decent gaming on the go. LG fit my needs perfectly

Honestly we complain but would you carry around your 17 inch gaming laptop. Just considering where we were and where we are now.

LOL. I love how you left the outtakes at the end. Extremely relatable struggle there. Also it's a shame the Legion Go isn't everything we wished it could be. I would love to be able to sell my gaming laptop for a viable handheld Windows-based PC that could do everything and be as comfortable as a Steam Deck, but that's just not looking realistic quite yet. Maybe in a year or two.

Is it good for RTS games by using the mouse? Selecting a group of units by dragging a box around them & moving them, for example.

Just like the Asus Rog Ally I love this device. In my opinion the Steam deck is underpowered and the games I want to play run like 20fps on the system. On the Legion Go and Ally almost everything runs smoothly.

I have ASUS rog ally and i love it only I have 2 problems maybe on the next ASUS rog ally if is gonna be one , I wish that have a bigger battery life and bigger ram size other than that I haven’t run on any major issues in fact it runs every game I throw at it

Steam deck is great but the fact that you can’t play all games is a deal breaker for me and half the performance aswell. But if you don’t care about any of that the deck is a great buy

Does anyone know if there is ANY way to limit the charging to 80% or similar?! If I plug it in to use it with a eGPU or at home with a charger, if it stays at >95% it will kill the battery quickly. Most phones and devices allow to limit from 50-80% not to damage the battery if we use it plugged in…

Had the ally, burned my sd card , returned the ally. Had the LGo, returned 3 pieces because of Big qc issues ( no small stuff), asked for my money back. Bought the 1tb Steam deck, never going back to windows. Good honest video btw

I have the rog ally I only play about 3 games at most the one I seen to play a lot is elder scrolls online at the 15 wat performance mode I get 10fps medium 1080p sometimes it does drop below 100 but never below 80 and I don’t noticed as much when connected to power at 35w its lock at 100fps don’t drop below.

I got one a week ago to replace my aging and horribly underpowered desktop and i love it so far.... only 2 complaints so far... 1 would be nice to have built in usb and hdmi ports... 2 the charger doesn't fit in the case with it...keep in mind I'm not a hardcore pc gamer so to me its great...plays the games I want no problem and its also a pc so I can use it as such.

As a gaming enthusiast I love my Legion Go. Definitely better than my Steamdeck. I agree Windows need to make some changes to support gaming better. People complain about the battery but the device is doing a what a PC does. This is not a tablet in terms of hardware. But as a pc gaming device the Go is a win.

I find it kinda funny that some people were bashing on the OG steamdeck that it didn't use windows and you had to tinker with it to get things to work. A year later everyone is praising the steamdeck that you don't have to tinker with it and that the games are better optimized.

RTX 4050 laptop would be about the same price, cheaper if on sale. and boatloads more power. lol liked the thumbnail footage.

LEt me tell yah. Ive spent hundreds of hours designing a backplate for the legion go. Hundreds of hours helping people on the official legion go discord. And I am sitting here thinking about returning my legion go and picking up a OLED deck. For every single reason you went over in this video. It feels like I bought a cheap car at a high car price. And honestly I can't say im happy with it. Great review. I appreciated the hesitations you had when explaining your side of things I could hear it in your voice but also know that your 10000% correct. I am thinking of returning mine and snagging and oled deck instead honestly.

Nonsense, those of you who enjoy pc gaming will enjoy this greatly. If you are a console gamer or someone who doesn't know their way around a PC, stick to the switch.

Isn't Steam Big Picture mode now just the Deck UI? Set it to auto-run on start-up and it should work out fine

Idk if this is normal but the left side of my legion go gets hot not warm especially while using the charger plugged into the top. Wulff Den also said his was getting hot in one of his videos. Maybe my Go is defective?

with MSI now finally announcing their PC Handheld (now that so many PC big bois participating in this handheld PC craze) ... i wish Microsoft takes notice of this and start working on another version of Windows 11 that is centralized for handheld PCs (like Steam OS) seriously...

I agree it’s not for the average joe like you, you need to go in to settings thinker, if your doing that your watching random videos KZfaq can help you with that. O and start up you need to read before you expected your windows start up to remove as mutch bloodware. Batty life were your going to use it ? At home at park at transit it’s 2 hours off aaa gaming if your gamer needs to learn with what your working with. Battery have powers supply laying around from your pokemon go days if not check for 65w power supply that going to give you adder 1/2 hours. I think it’s great to have something portable laptop far from portable laying down turning around to lay down right I move a lot with laptops moving it with me is struggle holding this wall moving fine

If you already have a Switch and a PC ,, you pretty much got all your gaming bases covered. The only reason to get this is for the portability. But if you already have a gaming laptop,, save your money, not worth it. I totally agree with that point. Although , If I had to choose one out of all the Steam deck clones,, it would be the Legion Go.

I would have bought that instead of the ally it if it was cheaper used in the uk. I was able to get a 2tb rog ally for £476, slightly cheaper than the steam deck 512gb OLED. I doubt Lenovo can cut the price down too much due to the extra components, the rog ally is £549 new but the go is £700 new in shops in the uk. That rocket leauge segment though, the game went wide.. The poor optimisation on the legion go is partly due to the portrait screen, games just won’t run well outta the box on windows, the ally has a landscape screen so you won’t have any of those screen bugs. The steam deck has a portrait screen but Linux fixes most of the bugs when it comes to that. I wish the ally had less bezel, 7.5-6 inch screen and detachable controllers. Would be ok. But eh. Personally I can’t say the rog ally is bad, I’ve had it for a few days and idc it hasn’t crashed on my like the steam deck when I booted it up for the first time. The software is ok , the battery life is so so. But overall I’m enjoying it more than my steam deck and it hasn’t bugged me a lot so far. The fact that my xp drawing tablet works with no bugs or anything on this thing is nice (the thing wasn’t working on my deck the WiFi kept on acting weird when it was plugged in), and being able to access a lot more of my library, most of my games are on epic and a lot of games I have are anti cheat ones. I’m happy I can play cod warzone on this. And watching videos is acts ok due to the higher pixel density, the screen doesn’t look all that pixelated. Even if I didn’t want to play games on my ally watching KZfaq videos is still better than using my phone hahaha.

My question is what’s the difference between the 1000 gb and the 512 gb ? And you shouldn’t bother comparing it to this steam deck it’s not worth it. And just a waste of time.

I had the legion go and as a new guy to gaming and pc and anything that’s has to do with electronics I returned it and got the rog ally with the same thought as the legion if I can’t use it I’ll return it and buy a karaoke machine but ended falling in love with the rog now mw3 runs great but no matter what you do the fans will be screaming on turbo but when I play apex it’s perfect also for need for speed and forza only really big issue for rog is the stupid battery 1hr 20min max on need for speed and 45min on mw3
