Mine is in the mail. Goal is using it with a 60% keyboard I bring in my bag anyway. My 13 in laptop recently kicked the bucket. I think the smaller screen will be fine because 90% of the time I can dock my laptop and the other 10% of the time I am not working and probably playing a lighter game. Friends and I are already planning more LANs. So at the very least it's making more close gaming opportunities.

I have all 3 as well but find myself using the Ally the most, I wanna like the Legion go but it feels horrible in the hands and too bulky for me compared to the deck and ally, also the battery is somehow even worse than the allys (which the Ally battery life sucks)

@@Greatbylook Yeah I might (wait til I get older that is). As a switch player, one thing I might need to get used to it is these games not being optimized for a small screen. But maybe windows games have a better likelihood of coming with more customization, so maybe scaling text and UI. Doesn’t sound like it though from how you were talking.

Hey, i just want to ask what "light work" did u do on the LeGo, and byfar how was the experience using LeGo? Can you replace LeGo with your laptop? I also do travel a lot and very intrested buying LeGo but still unsure if i only bring LeGo will enough or not

@naufalrajasa5497 hello I personally have bluetooth keyboard and mouse, so I can do lot of work with legion go i also dock it to hotel tv for with usb dock. As for replacing the laptop, I would still carry it as a backup. But overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.

for the price of 1200 to 750 its clear tbh look and the difference i would rather get a desktop for 1200 then a handheld or a 4080,3090ti?

@@nicklaforge Not really the same as a handheld gaming console, which is going to be thicker and heavier than your average tablet. It's just much too big and a 10in device is going to have very little appeal

Maybe you need to lower resolution. This 1600p is too much for this performance especially on AAA games. i think 800p the sweet spot, but idk big resolution screen with low resolution gaming i think its not the best looking.

Maybe, but how exactly are they supposed to improve the ryzen 7840U or the Z1 extreme anytime soon? There arent a lot of options. I dont think anything better will come out for quite awhile, because we have virtually nothing to put into it thatll fit a device this size and still be an improvement to the specs. So far we just have dumb improvements, like the ridiculous 64g ram and 4tb ssd on the new onexplayer. Like yeah i guess technically its an improvement, but when will you ever need 64 gigs of ram on a handheld. I DO think we will see price drops continue, but i just cant see anything thats noticably more powerful coming out anytime soon. I think tweaks and optimization will continue to improve performance for years to come though.

@frankpatterson9682 no right or wrong answer. Just preference. For me I don't like using my phone for any extreme resource application. The legion go filled a perfect niche for me. I work remote as IT consultant and I have 3 kids. What it solves for me, primary I don't require a bulky laptop now to game or do basic pc tasks when off work. I like that it's windows, I can rdp to all my virtual machines that I use for work. I can dock and play a game and be around the family rather than my office. Now I like to go camping and still work. I hated my laptop and now I believe I won't take my laptop at all. Just VPN back home, rdp to my work and light weight on the go device. Lastly a bit experimental I been wanting a centrally accessed gaming pc. I thought I was going to use old laptops to access but this device is great I plan on using it. I virtualize a gaming pc with a 4070 graphics card. I run legion go in balanced mode and remote stream my dedicated gaming vm. I like this solution because it removes most of the bugs and hassle when using your primary pc to remote stream a game. Hard to control all the resources as you it daily for other things and primary pc might have multiple monitors that bug out remote streaming games. So far it's been amazing exceeding my expectations. My wants were very niche but very thankful I randomly stumbled on legion go!

It’s a toss up between this and Asus ROG Ally and Steam Deck, based on preference. SD has better battery life, ROG is more portable and synching screen.

SD also has the smoother interface and quieter fans and runs cooler due to optimization. Really comes down to the need!

@@ATLsF1N3ST91 But you have to do it for solid frames. It doesn't come out of the box for it. Alot of console players already hate they have to do minor setup things like this. The OOBE should be solid. Also when the company says "Hits X framerate in this game****" Yo u shouldn't have to read every asterisk on how to make it hit that. It should just hit it OOB.

@alexandergrace No.. Companies shouldn't dumb down their products for the lowest common denominators. If you aren't smart enough to drop resolution, you wasted your time buying a portable PC... It isn't a home console, meant for children like a Nintendo Switch. Buy THAT product for pick up and playability. It's only $200 for the Lite. Go that route.

tbh the res is cool cause its basically integer scaled so changed between those resolutions doesnt look ass

depends of the game, KB and Mouse for 1st person shooter, controller for racing. i play on PC, Mac (yes Mac), Playstations, Nintendo consoles etc. these handheld PC is all in one for me.

As someone who owns multiple AAA game copies of the same game across pc and consoles, I will add that despite pc's having a higher ceiling, it's very easy to fail at customizing your settings or hardware itself in a way that looks worse than the closed system a console provides. Many times I've found games looking and running better on my consoles compared to my better gaming pc. Takes effort, time, and knowledge to tinker with your pc to bring out its potential. Console will always be better to me. Keyboards and mice are designed for typing, not playing games. But that means they work very well for my favorite type of game: mmo's 😁

Depends on the game. I play mostly with a controller. First person only games make sense with a mouse, unless it's all melee. Games with a lot of body movement in third person, like a lot of adventure games, Metal Gear games, and Soulslikes, it's controller all the way. The mouse is indisputably faster and more accurate, but I laothe keyboards. They're for typing, not moving, and it's long travel for no analog gradient in movement. There, controllers win for movement.
