I just put a NVIDIA 1650 (75W LP) in one of these. It now run ARK nicely! Great little machine these.

The gtx 1650 ti? Thats a relief, I was worried I wouldn't be able to use one of those here. Can this machine handle that along with an i7-2600 processor?

@@MrEffectfilms You should be fine. That CPU is supported and pretty much any GPU that is powered by the PCIe slot will work.

Hey, this was informative! I just found out we had one of these. I was trying to update it (it is on windows10) but I was wondering if you might happen to know if this series has a wireless network adapter for wifi? It looks like not judging by available drivers.

My son put a paper card into optical drive so it got stuck. Thanks for this video I was able to open the optical drive and took that paper out. Thanks for uoload6

You can put 4 8 GB sticks of ram to have a total of 32 GB in that computer

I was thinking of unplugging the dvd rom and hooking its cables up to a second internal hd or ssd. my hd bay came empty with an ssd adhered beside the mother board. runs well with 4gb ram for me.

That should work well; since this model used a standard optical bay you should have no issue with install. You could even get a dual 2.5" drive adapter that will fit in that space and have both drives installed there

Thanks for your advice I will give all that a try with the adapter. I was going to dual boot it with ubuntu.. noticed windows10 locked the boot menu in bios, and is worse than google... but the thinkcentre chooches good

Great for DOSbox, as well as older games like Baldur's Gate series, Command and Conquer, etc would run great. You might be able to run Roblox as well

I have one of these that came with a gt 1030 it runs Minecraft Roblox and the best game I could run is gta v but I haven’t tried any thing else

im buying and upgrading one of this for christmas i hope its pretty good (also the fact that this guy pauses in this video makes me slightly uncomfortable)

It's a pretty decent machine and has good upgrade potential. Sorry about the pause near the beginning, I forgot to edit out clearing my throat :(

2D games yes, would need a GPU for 3D titles

Hi, I have one of these, and my HDD is failing. How would I replace my HDD with an SSD, and can I add another HDD to increase storage?

If you remove the bad HDD and the optical drive you will have connections for an SSD and a bigger HDD

@@retropcdurham Thanks for the advice! Which brand SSD would you recommend? Crucial is offering their MX500 %00gb SSD for $59.99, and their 250 gb version for 49. Would you recommend them, or is there a better brand or company I should go for?

Crucial is good, they are owned by Micron who are one of the big three silicon manufacturers for memory and SSDs. I've had good experience with Samsung, Intel, and AData drives as well.
