@@HaisteComputerRepair i found a video where i see you connect a external graphic card with an adapter of course you also need a power source but i guess that's the only good choice

That's a good question, only because perhaps there is a variance in the touch screen cables as opposed to the regular lcd panel. I'll look into it and try to find out as I am not 100% sure. Let me know if you find out.

@@JJRamirezP Right now, I have both an X230 and X230T. May I can take them apart and see if they are a complete match. I won't have time for this until maybe the weekend. If you remind me, I will do it. I know that reaching out to some forums like Lenovo Support will get replies from "agents" that are more generic than helpful. Try looking up the question on Google with "Reddit" attached. Or, try posting to CNET forums, Linus Tech Tip Forums, or Tom's Hardware Forums.

It looks like it is a Intel® Core™ i7-3520M (2.90 GHz, 4MB L3, 1600MHz FSB). Keep in mind the CPU will be soldered on to the motherboard, so you will have to find one with the option you desire. With the first gen i7 offering on mobile, to my knowledge there may not be a big difference in performance from the i5. I don't think there is a quad core i7 option, only 2 core like the i5. @@jonnramirez7430 Generally, with laptops you don't switch motherboards with different models because the layout is so different. For example, the placement of USB Ports and everything else. There are some exceptions, but I wouldn't expect it to work so easily. Everything down to the cable connections to the motherboard can be very different.

@@HaisteComputerRepair I once saw a video where he replaced a motherboard of an old laptop for one that supported an i7 but it was a rare excess ... I really like the lenovo thinpad and that's why I wanted mine not to age in time ... thank you very much for your help
