after screwing back in the heatsink, it isn't making proper contact (with the copper) any ideas? EDIT FIXED: OK so the issue is, the heatsink can get bent very easily, thus causing this issue. What you need to do to fix this is just bend it back in place, the part where it makes contact with the CPU and GPU. It may take a bit of trial and error, but after its secured into place and screwed in, it will work! Thanks for the video! I managed to get my temperatures from 98 C to 64 C! Thanks!!

if compound is old it starts to heat up computer more often a d faster that means computer drops performance to keep itself cool. when you change it you can prevent that but changing it often will not do anything

@@KLGamers Therman compound need to replace after how many years. i have y50 70 purchased like 4 years ago or 3 dont remember. no upgrades yet. Please make a video showing hot to restore original windows if we swap hdd for ssd also :)

MX-4 , any good for thermal paste ? I see cpu and gpu has no metal cap as in desktop. Or anything better should be used for naked cpu/gpu in the laptop ?

use a blower never a vacuum its safer.. trust me you wont be happy when you suck loose the sockets.. its like 4 times the work

the trick is to brush lightly and vacuum the dust not vacuum the parts
