Thanks for the great videos, I've learnt so much.... One little tip, the easiest way to locate the lid sensor is to go around the screen bezel with something metal like a screwdriver until you find the magnet and wherever the lines up with when you close the screen will give you the location of the lid sensor.

And risk scratching the screen. Doing with the magnet like Sorin did is preferred.

An ultrasonic cleaner would of been able to clear all the parts on this motherboard that would meandisassembling it. Don't want to do that unless absolutely no other option. Right

if it is liquid damaged why not open it completely and give the board a full clean? if there is some residue left somewhere on the board it will result in corrosion.....

Your black work surface distracts from the work being done. The work surface should be lighter or different in color from the laptops you're repairing.
