A level crossing found on the very busy A44 on the outskirts of Leominster in the west of England. Given that it's on such a busy major route, it is surprising that this level crossing still only has automatic half barriers in 2021, especially as the line on which it's located sees typically 3-4 passenger trains per hour during a weekday off-peak. The two alarms at this level crossing are very loud though, and perfectly audible over the noise of the traffic here, one of which is pretty much brand new and is the third new alarm which that corner of the level crossing has had in the last few years. Trackside views here are fairly obscured, the traffic along this road is not too far at all from constant, especially in the minutes after the barriers raise after a train has passed, and a lot of large HGVs pass over this level crossing, so this isn't the best place to go to for railway action.
Thanks for watching!
