the real clip i love i can't find is the moments after ever the victory music is going, and during the climax in such a rocky fashion he sits on top of the cage facing the audience as a champion

It is honestly insane what Edwards did to Usman. He admittedly only won one round up to that point although, if you actually look, he was holding his own the entire fight despite Usman having much greater success, but despite Usman's evident work across the 5 rounds, in that fight Edwards took: 1) Usman's 100% takedown defence record for good. 2) His opportunity to tie with Silva for most ever wins in the UFC. 3) His claim to having never been knocked out. 4) His belt and the championship.

@@davidanthony669 Yea you're tripping. They even discussed this on the commentary during the fight and explained why, technically, Colby's takedown didn't count because lack of advance or utilizing the position.

@@davidanthony669 I thought the same but the UFC's baffling rules don't allow it as even though he literally took Usman onto all 4's, he didn't 'establish a subsequent attack' e.g. control, ground and pound or a submission attempt, which is ridiculous because a takedown in itself is separate from all of that.

Holy shit. Hearing what his childhood was like makes his achievement so much more impressive. For anyone to come from gang-life and reach the top of the ladder in any field is remarkable. But to have a Yardie as a father and then losing him at 13 to gang shooting and still achieve what he has is something special. And he’s also perhaps the most humble champion in UFC history.

His early life, rise in fighting, coaching and stuff, you know like the rise of Mighty Mouse, that part wasn't addressed as much there. You know like his fighting style, fight highlights.

Very underrated. He has to be the top 4 best. In whatever order;Silva,GSP,Jones,& Johnson. But Johnson only loss was to Cejudo. Which I think ufc wanted Johnson to lose anyways. But he was fantastic as ufc champion. I always remember one fight where he was winning on all scorecards easily and then went for a submission and got it. He has to be the best undefeated champion reign other than Jones.

If he had lost to Usman would any one know about him? Such a devestating sport.Edwards has everything. Very fast , Top level Striking ,deadly ,Top level Wrestling ,Few fighters can beat Nate Diaz in my opnion.

Crazy.. Leon’s part of the reason I stopped smoking weed so I could get back into training properly & chase after my dreams again, I relate to him too much and he’s from the same area as me too (erdington) & trains at the same gyms as me (Fearless MMA) he made me realise that if he can do it I can👊🏽big up Leon💯💯💯💯

Leon Rocky Edwards and Israel Stylebender Adesanya are my 2 favorite UFC fighters. I like both their styles. Rocky has class and is humble...I hope he continues to win and silence all the haters.

I've been following Leon since 2015 when he lost to Usman, a lot of British fan's wrote him off but a few of us still believed in him, Now look at him! What a way to become a champ by beating the champ who beat you in 2015 and if anyone deserves to become a champ it's Leon💯 and us yam yams are behind him every step, I just hope the British fan's get behind Leon and not boo him like they did previously!!! 🤜💯🙏

Some actually did at first - online there’s an old interview of Bisping talking about it and saying how confused he was when that was happening. But it was mostly because he had a rivalry with Darren Till who was more popular at the time.

@@clenchedteeth look it up, it wasn’t the U.K. fans booing him at all. He was fighting Gunnar Nelson who at the time was fighting out of Ireland. Lots of mainly Irish and some Icelandic fans travelled and they were the booing fans. The only thing the U.K. fans were guilty of was letting the Irish takeover but I guess ufc wasn’t so big in England at that point
