@@eddyd63okay then why doesnt ryan move up to 160 or 168 n fight canelo? in reality he wouldn't because its not his weight class! When Ryan fought tank ryan was fighting at 135, as was tank, now ryan is coming into his natural weight which is welterweight and tank is still at 135. The only way it would be fair is to meet in the middle at 140 to 142 WITH a rehydration clause, ppl acting like a ten pound rehydration is "crazy" when in reality every ibf title fight has a ten pound rehydration clause attached anyway its mandatory! Casuals do my head in man!

Spence has been vocal for years about outgrowing the 147 weight class and only stayed at 147 to become undisputed. We've seen the best of the weight bullies and Ryan Garcia came out on top now move on. Forget a let's fight Tank, or Cruz, etc at 143lbs, 144lbs, 145lbs, move on to the next division which is 147lbs.

Also ready or not killing yourself to make weight in a division your body has outgrown isn't a plus. Even if you're beating up naturally smaller guys. You're not learning how to stay dressed down in defense and still get off because you're capable of getting away with major mistakes with smaller guys. You'll have no choice but to develop properly when you know your opponent can hurt you. So if I'm a Pitbull Cruz, Tank ,or anyone 140lb and back, there'll be strict stipulations in the contract on weight and I want the lions share of the bag$

Ryan vs Tank. Ryan weighed in at 136 and came in fight night at 144lbs with the Rehydration clause. vs Haney~ Not sure of Ryan’s exact weight on fight night but had to be around 55/ 160 after weighing in at 143. Tank vs Ryan at 143/ 144 catchweight would be a Great rematch. Tank is literally at the peak/ prime of his career at age 29 and Ryan is 25 and still a couple yrs out.

Leonard doing so much to try to protect Tank from rematching lol. Both Pittbull and Ryan and better fighters now than when they fought Tank, and when the possibility of a rematch is brought up, Leonard writes it off as "what's the point, he already beat him". Well DUH he already beat them, but that doesn't mean a rematch wouldn't be a great sell for the fans and a shot for the loser at redemption.

Tszyu is the type of boxer who lost a fight that deserves a legitimate rematch. Not two fighters who lost fair and square. Ryan lost every round except one and got stopped. Pitbull, while a lot more competitive than anyone Tank has fought, lost more rounds and was beat with one hand. These are not remotely worth a rematch.

I don’t see a point in a rematch, tank is too small for 147 and garcia is at least a welterweight if not 154. For everyone saying tank should fight ryan at 145 with no rehydration clause you are effectively asking a fighter to fight someone 20-25 pounds heavier than them.....okay then why doesnt ryan move up to 160 or 168 n fight canelo? in reality he wouldn't because its not his weight class! When Ryan fought tank ryan was fighting at 135, as was tank, now ryan is coming into his natural weight which is welterweight and tank is still at 135. The only way it would be fair is to meet in the middle at 140 to 142 WITH a rehydration clause... ppl acting like a ten pound rehydration is "crazy" when in reality EVERY ibf title fight has a ten pound rehydration clause attached anyway its mandatory! Casuals do my head in man.

People don’t understand. Ryan struggles to make 140 let alone 135 but he really wanted the tank fight. The rehydration clause made it a fair battle ground otherwise Ryan would have come in heavier than tank as it showed against devin where he was the bigger fighter but the fight was scheduled a 135 fight. So both fighters were strictly to fight at that weight range. However, that fight should never have happened at 135, it should have been at 140 or a catch weight WITH a rehydration clause. So both fighters could be at their peak. We all know Tank makes 140 so yeah.

Ryan wasn't willing to weigh in at 135. They fought at a catch weight in order to make the fight, so because he was already heavier, he had a 10 point restriction. This is horrible logic too and counterintuitive, because if Ryan could fw Devin, why didn't he just come in at 140? He said himself that he wasn't willing to drain himself but Devin did. I don't think weight drain is an excuse for either of those Ls, but you people are either disingenuous or stupid.

Well; it would be a closer fight in a rematch at say, 145 to 147 lbs, because Ryan won't be weight drained as in first fight. I doubt the rematch happens. There are other guys for Garcia anyway.
