I never get tired of watching this. A highlight of my trip to England many years ago was staying at The Mermaid Inn in Rye which was the hangout of the real "Gentlemen." We drank our after dinner coffee in a room called "Dr. Syn's Chamber.

I loved that movie. I found out later it was fiction, and I was a bit disappointed. I wanted it to be true. Still yet I love that picture.

The story of Dr. Syn is fiction, but the smugglers were real. Their leader's name was George Ransly. He ran rings around the King's men for years.

I bought this DVD set as soon as it came out. I had always watched the episodes whenever Disney reran them, and saw the movie version in Canada.
