It's fantastic that these interviews are online. Told with humility and humor that is trademark Nimoy.

Devilish? My parents were as religious as anyone, and I still remember watching reruns with my dad when I was a little kid back in the 1980s (in Texas). Looking back, it's hard to believe that my dad liked any TV shows; but he liked Star Trek and he certainly liked Spock. It's the reason I became a fan myself.

I would say it was fortunate for everyone Gene stuck to his guns. I don't know what people on this planet would be like if they were never exposed to Spock.

I have just watched him in an episode of the revised The Outer Limits episode "I Robot" which was directed by his son Adam Nimoy. Leonard Nimoy actually appeared in the original episode of The Outer Limits too of the same title.

It's a shame you retired, Leonard. If you need to rest, you've earned it.

6:00ish I wonder if that's where they got the idea of Bones calling Spock a devil-eared (place desriptive word here)

Greetings. Hey I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1959. Now it is not religious at all--- like Europe. But prior to 1960 it was ULTRA catholic. You can't imagine what they censored. So I have no problem believing the the pointed ears of Mr. Spock might have been too much for the protestant Bible Belt of ths USA....
