Che bello riascoltare dopo 25 anni questo motore in caserma ne avevamo parecchi di leopard anche un leopard soccorso .ero meccanico pilota mezzi corazzati .ne ho cambiati di cingoli di olio e di filtri quando facevamo la manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria.avevamo anche altri mezzi corazzati vcc m113 e blindo centauro bei tempi.💪👋

The sound of this tank was made by a reason. U cant locate it when u hear it coming towards you when u are in forrest or out in the field. Also u cant tell if there are 3 or 15 leopards 1 driving out in the forrest.. the tank got diehl tracks and that its a very special noise this traks makes.

+MrDiCapro It was in active service around ten years ago in Norway; heavily modified and upgraded of course. Highly accurate gun and no problem whatsoever to shoot while driving over uneven terrain.

Because the newer variants (A1, A2 etc) had a gun stabilizer. The first variant didn't.

@@wildonemeister well, Germany has been top notch with fire control systems for a long time now. Armor however is a bit dull but firepower will be upgraded soon and the next modern MBT is in development.

It was use in battle. Check Wikipedia. The Leopard I could stand a chance against a T-72. A very good match too. The Leopard I was supplied to nearly every NATO country- except France, US, and England cause they already have their own tanks.

on this video is the first Leo A1a0, with no stabilizer, it fights T-64 who came out at the same years. The one who fight T-72 is Leo A1A1 with stabilzer and add on turret armor. On flat terrain, T-72 is the king, cz it even got missile despite leo a1a1 got apdsfs too. But on mountain/valley, Leo is the king because it's far more maneuverable (power to weight ratio) and leo got -9 gun depression (T72 only-5)

Trigonix ZeNW I've got kits of this tank and want to know what kind of green to spray them. I've got Tamiya XF-61 Dark Green, that's what colour this one looks like to me. Also what colour should I paint the tools on the sides of the early Leopard 1 kits? I'm not trying to make this exact one here but ones like this one. Thanks.

This is a Belgian (ImmoNr) Leo 1a2 before 1st upgrade (no sidewind captor). It's a first generation (see de 2 extra holes up de exhaustion system)

seoulkidd1 They were both developed around the same time because both France and Germany wanted a replacement for the American M47 Patton in the 60s. The two countries and Italy were working to make a tank together, "The Common Tank Project", but Germany and Italy left the project. The amx uses a french gun and the leo uses the British L7 cannon. The Amx is faster slightly and both tanks were lightly armoured initially.
