The Leopard 2 is one of the most famous modern tanks. It is used by armies around the world.
Although she did not take part in too many fire operations, she still arouses admiration.
Admittedly, her appearance is an eyecatcher, regardless of the version. It is the same when we look at 2A4, 2A5 or 2A6 versions.
There is quite a large selection of models in the 1/35 scale, but at the moment Border (BT002) is the best model available on the market. It's not perfect, but in my opinion it's the best copy of the original.
Is the Leopard the best tank?
Is the Leopard better than Abrams?
Is the leopard in Ukraine?
No, I won't answer those questions, but I'll show you how to build an awesome looking model of this vehicle! :)
In this series I would like to present my Leopard 2A6 in standard Nato camo with extra camouflage and coat of heavy weathering (dust, dry mud, fresh mud). There is also presented how to prepare the camo net typical for Bundswehr Leopards 2.

Thanks for checking out these paints! I should try them soon, too. The shade, especially of the green, looks almost perfect to me. Brightening them a tiny bit for the scale effect like you‘ve mentioned should make them look really authentic!

Nice painting, Łukasz. I used the poly for MM paints too, the problem with it is that it was unusable after a few months. Even the poly in a new, factory sealed bottle turned into a hard gel/rubber. The paints are OK though and there is a wide range of colors, especially for AFV. And you can easily thin them with water too.

Well I see that poly is more dense than paint. But I need to check in period of time to have my own experience. New poly isn't a problem as the paints are worth of it :)

For german armored Vehicles i use Bronze green which is also the color used on the real german tanks. Nato green is a bit too bright and greenish for german tanks imo. The good thing with that color is that there is a good contrast between the brown and black. But since most of the time the Hull gets very dusty it brightens up a lot. The Leopards or other tanks usually just got their dark tone after washing them and they were still wet. As soon as they dried they still became a greyish like dust cover, even without driving around. What few people do, they always make damaged wheels but the rubber pads of the tracks are always freshly changed :D since i used the Tamiya tracks i was heating up a small needle and slightly melted parts of the rubber pads to create a worn effect there. Those pads get damaged a lot :) The tools are never in camo color anyway , so if you paint them in a greenish olive it is all fine, we sometimes used to recolor them with simple olive drab from the can in a cellar :D Another very nice build so far though :)

I picked up a bottle of Mission paint for a specific application at a hobby shop a couple of hours from my home. If I hadn't seen your video I would not have known about the thinner and polyethylene mix and I'm sure it would have been a very disappointing result. Thanks for preventing potential disaster!

fajny model, czekam na weathering tylko zastanawia mnie jedna rzecz. Ten brązowy jest chyba trochę bardziej widoczny. Ja swojego Leo2A5 w malowaniu 1BrygPanc malowałem mr.hobby i efekt był zgoła inny. Może to wina światła?

Kolory są takie jak na filmie. Tak jak wspomniałem powinny być trochę jaśniejsze ale dla mnie nie stanowi to problemu :)

I tried MM Paints and they just did not work for me. I went back to the tried and true Tamiya Paints and the AK Real Colors.

Hi Lukasz! The Leopard is looking great. Mission.Models paint is hard to get here in Australia, and I have wanted to try them for while now. the brown camo is brighter on the leopard, it's a reddish brown, i prefer the Spanish Leopard because it doesn't have that complicated pattern or the swedish version.

Great work ! In my opinion the green is to dark .I often see BW vehicles around and it don´t match very good .

Great video my friend. I have been thinking about trying MM paints, but heard some people complaining about them. Watching you use them looks like if you do what the producer says to they work very well. Thanks for the video I am going to have to give them a try.

Do efektu metalu na linach itp polecam spróbować ołówek stolarski. Mi podpasował. Mimo, że rysik jest dużo większy. Można go sobie jednak oskrobać do odpowiedniej wielkości. Na moim kanale mam nagrane jak go używam. Nie jest to spory kanał ale się rozwija. Pozdrawiam. Aha. Jak zwykle dobra robota.

Awesome paint job so far. The Nato brown is way to dark ,this is simply the wrong paint , Modelers point out everything wrong with a Kit , but to lazy to look for the right color. The colors used in the Bundeswehr are well documented with the RAL numbers
