Epic sighting of a female leopard stalking and chase a herd of impala right in front of us. We spotted her walking down the road very relaxed, when suddenly her behaviour changed. She moved into the thickets to investigate but came back on the road covering ground quickly. After a few moments we realised a herd of impala was not far from her position. She then stopped in the shade and properly scanned around absorbing as much information as possible. She got up and started making her approach. All the impala got a massive fright when she jumped out of cover but unfortunately for the leopard, the hunt was unsuccessful. Incredible to hear all the impala alarm call after a failed hunt. She moved back to the road while the herd of impala continued their alarm calls making sure the danger moved away. Truly special to witness her stalk and attempt to hunt an impala. Really hope she has better luck next time and that I can spend more time with this stunning female 🙌🏻
