I have a hack. So when leopard geckos go to the bathroom in the same spot you can just fold up a Kleenex and put it where the bathroom is. I usually wet the folded Kleenex in the cage so the Kleenex doesn’t stick up. Now you only have to take out the waste once a week instead of all the bedding. I also heard you could put a few drops of coconut oil on the Kleenex to encourage it to go to the bathroom there.

If you have a flat feeding stone/dish then you can place Dubia roachs on their backs and they find it very hard to turn back over - their wriggling will quickly draw your gecko's attention.
@antizombie1966 жыл бұрын
Hello, At what size can gecko eat Dubia roachs? They seem to be too large for my gecko which is about 5 weeks old. Thank you.
@Lusewing6 жыл бұрын
You can buy them as nymphs online and they are a great size for a baby. My boy has been on them and mealworms since he was 13g (he now weighs 40g) and he loves them. Dubias grow slowly so its fine to buy a big batch of babies as they will pretty much grow with the Gecko in size. Follow Rebecca's tip of making sure the roach is not bigger then the gap between your Gecko's eyes and you will do fine - they are nice and soft so so easy to munch on. In the last month I've gotten hold of some adults and have started breeding my own Dubias (just a small colony). Really easy to look after and feed, they just need a little extra warmth.

Keep your crickets alive and it is way cheaper than a cricket keeper and those are to small for the crickets.
@kataratify6 жыл бұрын
The kritter keepers come in different sizes....(I agree though the black cricket keeper w/the tube etc is a bit too small). I have 2 kritter keepers that my crickets go into, one is a med size and the other is large. The medium sized one was around $5 (US) and the large was maybe $7?

I got my little leo November of last year, she started out as a friend and now she is my emotional support animal. Since I'm allergic to fur, she is my best bet at having a support animal. I'm so happy with her, I'll just walk around the house with her on my shoulders when I'm feeling depressed or anxious. She really calms me down with the feeling of her weight and just her movements, because when she is on me I know I need to be grounded to keep her safe. Of course I dont have her out all the time.

Leopard Gecko believe me one did try and I was having none of it, after checking her tank whilst cleaning there were no mealworms that had escaped apart from the one I lost with the tongs 😂😂😂 so that bowl is doing well for now. Fiona Shepley ok. I don't have geckos anymore, and this was for worms which you don't typically want to let out on substrate. I was letting other people know that their gecko might figure it out if they have a higher vantage point.
