International Baltic Sea Choir Competition (IBSCC) takes place annually on September in Latvia and is hosted by the city of Jurmala near the Baltic sea. The choral music competition is held in Dzintari Concert Hall. IBSCC is intended for high level amateur choirs that compete for the GRAND PRIX prize. More information: www.balticchoir.com

Saunder Choi’s arrangement. Some of his works were performed by The Madrigal Singers, ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra both from the Philippines, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Hongkong Philharmonic Orchestra. He also wrote for Tony Award Winner Leah Salonga, these are just a few of Choi’s many successful works.

To me, by far, this is the best arrangement. I wish I can get a copy of this arrangement so we can sing it in our "White Spruce Choral Group" in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada for the "Sweet Adelines" International Competition next year.

I grew up singing this song so to say that I'm familiar with it is an understatement. And I'd say...what a wonderful rendition!! PERFECTION!!! The placement of voices were superbly executed. Lastly, I think that the song's arrangement contributed greatly to what made this performance a shoo-in winner. It has all the elements to showcase all that makes a good choral group amazing-- the subtle parts and the upbeat segments were handled flawlessly!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!

This made me cry again though many times I heard with this performance. There's still and a lot of Filipino folk songs to be sung and can made more history in choir competition around the world, and so glad to hear other nationalities are doing it. Kudos to the Filipino teachers, choir conductors who helped arrange and expound the intricacy and details of every piece. To God be the glory and Mabuhay.
