James is too imbedded in McFarland racing to go anywhere. I’m sure Cleetus is paying him extremely well for him to leave. Why else would he want to leave? He has probably the ultimate dream job for him. They are all so far spread apart by having a shop, race track and running so many different racing events, it’s hard to have every member of the team in every video. They all have their places within the company, so it would be super hard to get everyone in a single video unless they were all an hour long. You know Cleetus likes to put out 15-25 minute videos 3-4 times a week just to keep fresh content.

Exactly the position jackstand needs to be in. Workshop foreman and keep things running while cleet is away. George and Zach as the techs and Ty as the fab guy, great setup

I started watching the channel the day he bought Leroy and uploaded that video. Watched every one since.

I was hooked on 1320 videos. Then, there was a break in content creation, I was starved for car content, and a Florida Man popped up in front of a Camaro...

I am loving Rocky content. The fact it is George's car just makes it even better. It is way faster than it has any right to be. I do hope they get the safety upgraded. Maybe some wheelie bars and chutes.

@@aaronkratzmann9703 they can’t put wheelie bars on a radial car. But they can get the suspension tuned. Yeah chutes would be great. I imagine its already got them or is getting them. I love Rocky.

Leroy 2.0 looks to be on it's way to becoming a solid race car. It will be fun to see a new build and how far they can take it! However, I am sad to see the end of the original Leroy. Leroy built this channel by being a body off, sometimes hacked together, old stick shift corvette with a 'LOT' of engine. The fun of the build was watching it go to the 7's and how they fought to keep it together! They have gutted the old boy and I am sad. A huge part of Leroy racing was going as fast as they did through that vette transaxle! Very impressive! Now, I am sad. Don't get me wrong. The new Leroy 2.0 will be hella fast but it is now just another tube chassis cart. All of the old challenges have been removed. Oh well, off we go! RIP Leroy. I'll miss you.

Forget Leroy! He is laying gutted on that shop floor. A new full tube chassis race car will take his place and I am sure it will 'kick ass' but it won't be Leroy!

@@dannyclubb4309 "Upgrading"? The OG Leroy is gone. When the channel started, Garrett took a ratty old stick shift corvette, took the body off, and put a bunch of TS LS muscle in it. Since it was a stick shift, it took on a special place in their racing. There weren't many 'stick shift' cars running as fast as it could, so it became a national star. The best part of watching Garrett and his buds was trying to keep that vette transaxle and various other GM driveline parts from exploding. Getting that 'thing' into the 7's was quite the accomplishment. Now what do we have? OG Leroy is laying all over the floor of that shop. It (Leroy 2.0) is now just another full tube chassis race car with fat tires. I'm sure it will be killer fast but the 'soul' is gone. I wish them the best of success racing it. Who knows, they may get it into the high 6's! It just won't count.....!

It would take them away from the shop, where they need them. As much of an asset they are, they do most of their work when Cleetus is running around at drag races.

I think with RMRW they were so busy that having James on camera was probably not going to work. Now that they have a lul they can take the time for him to be on camera. Remember the camera slows stuff down so if you are in a crunch it might be better if James is not on camera.

On the floor on jackstands none the less. Cleetus should invest in a frame table to build jig fixtures on to do this kind of work.

Aside from having a diverse skillset he also seems to be a genuinely nice dude.

@@timcole421 - Yeah, doing it on the floor is not as good as a proper chassis table as they are assuming the concrete is level. And concrete rarely is perfectly level. Hope it doesn’t end up causing issues with the finished dimensions.

@@TaylorAmes Yup, from an engineering point of view, having that much stick out with side loading on is a recipe for disaster if it gets even slightly out of balance, and I'm really surprised they got through nearly two whole race weeks without it grenading itself. It definitely needs some sort of outboard bearing support to stop it flexing. Pretty sure Ty can magic up something?

I’d probably choose mullet because I’m a gbody guy but by time me and my buddies mr plasma cutter and senor grinder was done it’d barely resemble mullet except the exterior there’s so much stuff that needs cut out of that car it ain’t funny. He stayed way to conservative on cutting and modifying for what his goals are for the car
