PLEASE POST MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS ONE!! I am a beginner and your style of teaching is excellent and very informative. This is an excellent way to learn chords in a given key and really get comfortable changing between them.

Hi everyone - it's taken a long time, but I think I've finally got to grips with all of the technology, including the software and hardware, to make better videos - so more will be coming to KZfaq! I'm also offering one-to-one online lessons on the bouzouki if anybody's interested. Check out my latest video for more information: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hZacoayizMynhqs.html

Good video. Convinced me to retune my octave mandolin to GDAD. As well, changed the G and D bass strings to high/low pairs instead of unison. Way more twang and jangle.

thank you so much for this Declan... I'm an absolute beginner. Bought my octave mandolin from a very talented musician & instrument maker, Conan in Galway, about a year ago, brought it safely home to Australia, and finally really making a commitment to learn this beautiful instrument. Love the tin whistle too, as it sings to my soul

What's the tuning of your instrument? Can I play the Irish Bouzouki by tuning it like mandolin i.e GDAE? Many thanks in advance from Pune city, India
@topscoremusicacademy
@topscoremusicacademy 8 ай бұрын
It's tuned GDAD, but another standard tuning is GDAE just like mandolin, violin or banjo. So you can definitely play bouzouki tuned to GDAE. 🙂
