Why is their not a movie done of Lester Young ?? Wow what an amazing man; such talent and swag. He was a beautiful black cat. My first exposure to Pres was a Billy Holliday vedio I watched. Billy Holliday her eyes are so fixated on him with so much love and admiration for him, it was beautiful to see. I have those same eyes for Pres his amazing talent. What a wonderful 👏 ❤ man . Their really should be a movie of him.

they make these bizarre epics like bird that are horrific if they just stuck to the real lives and the facts they wouldnt have to JAZZ it all up with incredible non sense they put into these films and never about the actual music they produced but how much they drank or did drugs?

I hate for this to end. It's such a great documentary. What a genius he was. It makes me want to buy a sax and try to learn to play it!

Great old informative documentary, enjoyed all 6 parts Mr. Gilford. Side note, the audio was low so had to grab some earphones which helped. Love the anecdotes and tales from the people who knew Lester.

im sorry maybe you can turn up your own vol ?I cant do any thing about the volume it was made at.i hope people see how rare this is and enjoy it for just being posted?

@@musimages23 Mr. Gilford, I do appreciate the post as I tried to express in my comment. Will say it again, I enjoyed all six parts. Realizing the original audio quality was not so good, my laptop volume is at 100% and still needed to plug in earphones (in fact I had giving up trying to finish watching these, but bought some cheap earphones and later came back), so I hope that anyone who has trouble hearing this will do the same and get this wonderful learning experience. Thank you.
