Let It Be (Double Guitar Solo) - The Beatles
Though it seems that there are two versions of The Beatles "Let It Be", there is really only one. George Harrison made two very different passes at lead guitar solos and they were both saved on the master. Engineer/Producer Glyn Johns chose the solo played through a Leslie tone cabinet (Rotating speaker) for the single release.
Later when Phil Spector re-mixed the song for the album he chose the other guitar solo and added a horn arrangement. It should be noted that the two solos were never intended to be a double solo played together. But it is interesting to hear how they work together.
Here, Hangnail Phillips created a "Magic Mix" combining the two mixes to reveal for the first time, both guitar solos played at once.

This is the 1st release in a series of "Magic Mixes" of Beatle songs by Hangnail Phillips. Look for all of them in the coming weeks.
