I'm glad to see Professional Rapper on here, that's on my short list for sure. I was going to nominate High Crimes by The Damned Things, but after watching your last video, I think I'm down on it in comparison to their debut album, rather than just it being a bad album. I do feel as though High Crimes sucked all the joy out of the band, but Professional Rapper is so bad on so many fronts, as well as Dicky's inability to be himself at any point, it has to be my winner.

Right now Simulation Theory is my third favorite Muse album. They leaned heavy into electronic and synth instead going in and out like Second Law and killed it.

I actually really enjoyed Professional Rapper and I think he did that song in a cool unique way. He introduced himself to the world while doing an interview with Snoop all while showing his technical capabilities. Solid song.

I feel personally attacked with the thoughts on Muse. Although Simulation Theory isn’t their best album it’s still pretty solid and has some really strong songs. Especially Blockades. I kinda agree with Drones but you’ve gotta give some credit that there are some killer riffs on that album. The 2nd Law would have to be my least favorite of theirs but it’s still got its strong songs like supremacy and survival. Don’t think Muse deserves to be mentioned here

New subscriber. Enjoying your reviews and takes on music I'm unfamiliar with at times, not all the time, but sometimes. I wanted to make a comment about your take on Tom McDonald, now granted, this was over a year ago, but Tom really blew up in 2020/21 and you attributed his popularity at the time of this video as a negative popularity, sort of like any press is good press, even if it's bad press. Tom's music has struck a chord with people that like Kid Rock, Nugent, et al and while you think that their musical tastes are irrelevant and regressive, McDonald is not a Millennial, he's closer to Gen Z and therein lies not just a musical divide but a cultural one as well. Greta Van Fleet also isn't a Millennial band. Born in 1996, this is generally considered the beginning of Gen Z. A lot of Gen Z doesn't pander to the hipster esthetic that was passed down to the Millennials via Beck, Cibo Matto, Weezer and other groups by their older siblings, just like how late Boomers turned their ears towards Zeppelin and Sabbath having listened to Iron Butterfly, Vanilla Fudge and The Stones through their older sibs. So hipsterism is a cultural cache that's baked into the Millennial mix, not all of it, but part of it. Gen Z for the most don't give ish about being hip. They're anti-hip and in that regard, whether it's the Zepp ripoff of Greta Van Fleet or Tom McDonald as Kid Rock 2.0, they're going to resonate with a generation that is also decidedly anti-hip in general at this point. If we're around long enough, I'm looking forward to the Gen-Z version of you (who knows, that might be you in real time) doing these kinds of reviews in five years. I'll keep watching. Thanks for your time, effort and creativity.

Yeah The 2nd Law, Drones, and Simulation Theory have imperfections, and the concepts and themes became much more ambitious, but nowhere near worst of the decade
