I'm wholly with you when it comes to the domestic scene - the elimination of gross inequalities, the establishment of decent working conditions and pay and decent pensions for all, radically transformed housing and education policies, renationalisation of utilities, transport, water etc... I probably also share your attitude towards Israel and Gaza. However you are clearly misguided when it comes to Russia's brutal and illegal invasion of Ukraine, since you condemn all spending on war and gratuitously included a shot of Zelenskyy towards the end. If Ukraine doesn't stop Russia, then Russia won't be stopped. Try watching a few videos of Russian state television on KZfaq channel Russian Media Monitor, including those where they talk about nuking the West, and learn what we are really up against.

Neither side will end up winning. It will end in a stalemate with some land being lost. It's better that is accepted now and pressure is used to force a compromise from both sides and end the conflict ASAP. Continuing will end up with broadly the same outcome but the loss of thousands more lives unnecessarily. Lives are more important than land.

@@NANA-kf1cs That's the kind of naive and dangerous argument used by Nigel Farage, Jeremy Corbyn and others. It doesn't work with a revanchist tyrant like Putin. He'll use any break in the conflict as an opportunity to prepare for the next invasion.
