Want to give thanks to God. My husband had his surgery for colon cancer. They took out 18 inches of his descending colon and several lymph nodes. The lymph nodes were negative and he only has stage 1. The surgeon doesn’t even think he will need chemo. Thank you God.

That's totally awesome, especially if he doesn't need chemo. It made my brother so sick that it was almost worse than the danger the cancer presented. Again, congrats.... and yes, most certainly be thankful to God Almighty !

My mother had her transverse colon removed 24 years ago in emergency surgery after almost dying from blockage. No lymph nodes involved. No chemo, they recommend it but she declined. Still going strong at 84. Praise God. Pray your husband does as well as my mother afterwards.

I had a problem with Japanese Beetles on my raspberries last year but not my garden. I planted garlic around my raspberries this year and no problem!

We had spring-loaded mole traps, with a pressure sensitive plate and these long dagger type attachments. Had a handle you pulled up to cock it. Granddaddy had several. My cousin Jerry used to skin them and tan their hides.

Beetle traps, dump in ziplocks and freeze them. Feed to chickens and ducks.

I bought replacement buckles and buttons for overalls at Walmart. I ordered my grandson who is a really, really big guy overalls from Roundhouse and was very pleased with them.

I saved most of my Danny Corn, I have 7 ft deer fence around my garden and then I put up electric netting fence to keep the raccoons out. It has died down and ready to pick.

I got 4 branches from my pear tree prepped for grafting. I’m praying that they take. I’d rather have cold weather also. The older I get, the less I can tolerate southern summers. We keep our ac on 77 during the day (husband is on blood thinners) but drop it to 75 at night. August is usually our hottest month. Shalom!

Horrible weather in Treasure Valley, Idaho, we've been in the 100s, I believe 12 days in a row, up to 111°. High 90s and more hundreds after the 100°+ stretch. I'm worn out! Blessings, julie

This year I tried some charakee tan pumpkin seeds from 2020 and they sprouted just fine. Love those things. Grow great and last so long too.

@@WendyWindon I have 2 air sealed cases that when you open them up there are 20 smaller cases(in each) I have labeled that have the seals as well. Then I just store them under the bed in the coolest , darkest room. No moisture , No heat ,No light . I still wasn't sure till they sprouted. I also have an inexpensive "black photo storage box" that seems to work really well for all of that plus organizing. I have old Danny corn in there. Best of luck Wendy.

We have a belle of Georgia peach tree and they are sweeter than any of our yellow flesh peaches. Thanks for the canning info on these. We have other white flesh varieties that aren't producing yet as of this year

Pine Cones? Heck, they make wonderful fire starters, they flare up like crazy. Don't use a whole lot all the time, the sap will make creosote in your chimney. But I use them every fall and spring, when I have to just make a small fire and let it go out again later, just to take the chill off the room.

You were next in queue for KZfaq. It went straight to your prayer. I’ve been dealing with, not me, my mother sister and I. 3rd and 4th daughters. We’re closer to parents. Father of 92 years fell 4 times last week. 2 involved calling paramedics,( after neighbors to pull him up off the floor), he went to hospital on 4th fall with pneumonia stayed 1 1/2 days before demanding to be released. He doesn’t feel like living anymore with his immaculur degen taking 1 3/4 of his site, not getting his knees replaced and all he has left is taking out the trash, which I do because of the the huge trashcans his county has in place

Question Danny. Why is is not good to eat rabbits in summer ? We have deer and rabbits everywhere. Blue berries, especially the designer ones , I have trouble with sometimes. I did learn from you to trim the old ones when mine quit producing. I'm in on a blueberry book .
