Yes! A friend of mine is bilingual and has trouble with certain words but she graduated either a year or 2 years early and is super smart. But she gets her words mixed up and is often like “huh” but shes actually smart. I think Dr. Idriss is bilingual well. I can’t place her accent though, she sounds either French or Spanish.

The vanicream vitamin c has the tetrahex one you like, plus it's $18. It only has 5% in it, but my super sensitive post menopausal skin loves the 5%. Vanicream is the only vitamin c I've found that I can tolerate daily. I've tried 10%, and my skin was red, dry, and irritated after using it several days.

For those who are interested in seeing the study of the vitamin C derivative Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) being a good choice for acne prone skin, the title is "Sodium ascorbyl phosphate shows in vitro and in vivo efficacy in the prevention and treatment of acne vulgaris", it's a very nice read: they mentioned how it initially had no activity against p. acnes bacteria at the concentration of 0.5%, but when they increased it to 1%, within 4 hours it had a very effective reduction in the p. acnes bacteria, and they even showed a before and after picture of one of their representative subjects who took part in the treatment process. Thank you Dr. Shereene for making these Let's Get Intimate playlists, it helps me research even further about skincare ingredients as I initially wasn't sure where to start in terms of researching. Your videos give me a foundation of understanding and allows me to explore even further to research regarding the ingredients. I appreciate your help a lot.

But she's wrong in a lot of the things she's saying. You won't overdose on vitamin C from more than 2000 MCG a day, you can take all the way up to 10000 MCG a day without overdosing, The first sign of overdosing is diarrhoea and I haven't experienced it yet even thou I eat 2000 MCG in the morning + with every meal I eat, so I consume between 6000 and 8000 MCG vitamin C every single day and it has done wonders for me. This is a +1 hour video review on different vitamin C studies, but specifically my argument about taking vitamin C with every meal or 4-6 times daily, look at 2:20 in the video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sMx6hLeqtNHQnnk.html You should listen to the whole video thou, it's free gold and diamonds packed in a 1 hour video. Also check out her and her research crews website, they have 30 pages of vitamin C highlights from almost 200 scientific references.

Thanks for mentioning vitamin C on sensitive skin since I’ve been using it every morning and once in a while I’ll use it twice a day, and I just found out the Timeless 20% vitamin C E ferulic serum is actually too high strength for me. I watched another video where vitamin C around 20% and 25% isn’t well-tolerated so vitamin C at 15% tends to be the best (providing best antioxidant properties while having lowest sensitivity/inflammation so highest tolerance for all skin types). So if anyone is experiencing redness/inflammation/irritation/flaky skin from vitamin C, definitely try to get 15% vitamin C. The super pricey Skinceuticals vitamin CE ferulic serum is formulated with 15% vitamin C. Edit: Please talk about vitamin E/tocopherol and vitamin B5/pantothenic acid! I love the La Roche Posay cicaplast baume b5 and would love to know the science behind B5 products.

I was aware that vitamin C and copper are inversely proportional to each other. I had copper poisoning from my copper IUD (Paragard) and I was researching natural remedies because I was sick and having trouble finding someone to remove it for me. I started taking a very high dose of vitamin C pills and I did experience some relief from my symptoms. Ladies, I hope this helps even one person. If you have a copper IUD and you're not feeling right, it's not in your head and you're not crazy, even if you've begun to think you are.

Love getting the real science behind skincare and not the marketing BS! I was wondering, what are your thoughts on the supergoop vitamin C + SPF 40? Since SPF is usually the last thing in a morning routine, would the vitamin C even be absorbed?

Dr. Idriss, I just was aware of you about a few weeks ago mentioned to me by my sister-in-law. I absolutely LOVE your videos. I've only seen several so far but I love them! You are very educated, knowledgeable and familiar with all of the skin care products! I also Love your personality! You are so beautiful and also down to earth. I love how you spell everything out for us skin nerds and give product recommendations even on things you don't think are that necessary. It must be a lot of editing work to put all the pop ups in your videos but I love them! I'm so very happy for you that you finally get to open up your own practice in September! Do you have a definite date yet? I also loved the video that you shared your story with us and got emotional. It makes me more happy for you that the KZfaq/internet people backed you up. 😉 I don't wear makeup and luckily I just turned 41 and I still have great skin, probably because I'm half Asian (Korean)/half White. I want to start taking care of my skin now while it's still able to slow down the collagen breakdown. I actually learned about collagen from you. I'm glad you also don't think cleansing your face twice a day is that good for you. Before I found you, I was totally lost about which products I need. I'm more on the strict budget side so I have to just wait a little bit before I can get all the skin care products I want. I decided that in the morning I'm going to do a topical vitamin C that I will store in the fridge then use my facial sunscreen. I have sensitive skin as does my mom and sister so I'm using CeraVe for all my products. Do you think that's ok? Plus they're cheaper than brands you mention. I liked that you do your "nighttime" routine when you get home from work so the products have time to work instead of doing it right before bed and the pillow case soaking it all up. So at night, I'm going to use a facial cleanser then moisturize and then do a test patch of retinol. Since I have sensitive skin, I'm going to start with just once a week for 4-5 weeks then twice a week for several weeks then 3 times a week. Do you think I should even go up to 4 times a week? I was going to use vanicream for nighttime moisturizer because of all the benefits of glycol but the CeraVe pm moisturizer says it's ultra lightweight. Is that a good thing? It also says it has Nia***** - I forget what is called and it's non-comedogenic. If it's a bad thing, why? I trust your honest opinion. Which nighttime moisturizer do you think is better, CeraVe pm moisturizer or vanicream? If I use CeraVe and it's ultra lightweight should I put two layers on before applying the retinol or do you think one layer should be fine? This is actually under my significant other's sign in. I'm technology challenged. I know, I need to learn. I know you must be crazy busy since your practice is about to open but if you could email me and answer all my questions I would love you forever!! I think I can check this comment again to see if you replied to it. I just would rather use the app and I can't comment on the app. How dumb is that?!

SO Interesting, thank you! I'd love to hear your take on laser therapy and chemical peels that are professionally administered at beauty salons/dermatologists. It gets quite overwhelming when there are so many options for skin tightening, radiance (brightening) and even tone.
