** Ok, so we got this machine loaded, now let's head out to the field and see it in action! 🙂
** Maybe in another video I can explain the chemical more of that's of interest to you guys? 🤷‍♂️
** What is edge? Well edge is a group 3 herbicide that is typically applied in the fall or spring before you seed lentils. "Edge" is it's given name, and helps control a broad range of weeds such as, kochia and Russian Thistle in your lentils. This will not stop you from spraying a burn off before you seed nor will it keep you from spraying a herbicide in your lentils during the growing season. Then why do you use it you ask? Because kochia and Russian Thistle are hard too kill at the best of times, and you need all the help you can get! 😂
** And as I have said before, for those of you who enjoy staying up to speed with what's going on and what the heck is that crazy guy up too now?! 😳 🤷‍♂️ 😂

@@Jonas889665 yep that's true too. Becuase it's hard on the dampener. And it can put sudden excesses pressure on the hydrostatic motors. When we bought our first Fendt and sold our last JD 10 years ago now. We blew the dampener in between the engine and transmission from using range 4. You can use it but make sure your tractor comes to a complete stop.

I assume it's the latter but can you please elaborate on that? Thanks!

Never actually farmed in my life and while i grew up and live in the city, i've been seeing tons of farms and equipment my whole life around out of town from where i live (N.S. Canada). Started playing Farming Simulator to get my sandbox-vehicle driving fix but that game and watching you and all these other farmers on YT has actually pushed my decision to go and take a heavy equipment operators course here in the near future cause i just want to drive some large vehicles lol. (Don't mind a bit of hard work to go with it as it usually does too).

Nice and quiet in the Fendt 720, glad to see this nice puppy it is back again. Running soo smoothly. Sorry to bother Mike, can you show us the Kochia and Russian Thistle you try to kill here? I don't see it, but probably it is still too small to see in fall and or covered by the stubble? Do you make assessment in the field before application of the chemical if the is really needed, or do you know from experience it will be required to safe your lentils later on and mainly regular procedure? So just applied on those fields that will get lentils sown in spring? Other question can you show one day how the soil looks like under the stubble here, just interested. But may need a A shovel or spade? Sorry to disturb. Thanks anyway👍👌

Im from Germany, and here we are driving a lot off Fendt. A rule that everybody knows, who is driving tractor, is that you never switch gears in a Fendt while you driving, always stand still. It's more important for the old ones but in the new ones you have to press the clutch at least. That's how we do it Mike do you ever heard off that? I thought you were switching gears while you were driving, or is that wrong?

@@maxiskritik1039no they don't just his 1050 does. I don't know if you know but Fendt made a new vario transmission called the Vario Drive. It's very similar to their old CVT and their is no gear changing anymore. You just get into the tractor and drive. They first installed on their new 1000 series a few years ago, and now they are installing it one by one in all the other sizes. Best transmission ever invented and can not be beat! But to answer your question, we only typically layer herbicides in front of lentils.
