A 3-0 win on Tuesday ignites the victory charge by the 3 Lion's 🦁 just like that brave win v/s Rattin & co in 1966 when England were wobbling. Keep meditating & praying fans. Cuz thats how Argentina ended 36 yrs of hurt. (No bad karma making drunken fights. No bad karma weed & drugs & unhealthy sex). Make good karma by being good. E.g. Be nice to kids & animals. Tell mum & dad u love ❤️ em. Remember the WW2 fallen braves. Your Parents made a lot of sacrifices to raise you. The fallen brave gave their todays for your tomorrow's. They wud be no Euro24 ot Workd zcuo if the national socialists (NaZi) had won. In the words of brave Churchill. "We will Never surrender." You wear 3 Lion's on your shirts cuz 🦁 are the bravestest of the brave. They hunt & fight until they win & never surrender. Visualise victory after meditations & prayers. Its coming home & 58 years of hurt will end. Cmon 🏴

Are the players physically able to carry out the game plan? Dec: "Yes of course, People automatically assume we are tired. We are built to play these types of seasons" Gareth after the Serbia game: "We expended a lot of energy in the first half and a lot of the players haven't had a 90mins for a while so I was worried about us energy wise and I thought that showed a bit" Gareth after the Denmark game: "With the players we've got we don't feel the way to press is high up the pitch, we also don't think that's the physical level of the team at the moment" It's not us saying you're tired... Maybe people are assuming this because the manager has come out and used this poor excuse each game.

England have four points from two games and have practically guaranteed their place in the knockouts in second gear. They’ve been a long range worldy away from playing it absolutely perfectly. @@rogerioceni2640 yes, keep plenty in the tank for a final like against Italy, where we did exactly the same thing after scoring first, or for a semi final like against Croatia where we also did exactly the same thing. Evidently, it has absolutely nothing to do with saving energy for the latter stages and everything to do with Southgate's mindset. These players don't do it for their clubs, so it has to be coming from the manager. If we play the same way after we score as we do before we score, we'd be winning games by 2, 3, 4.

He said they’re not fit enough to play high pressing football for 90-120 minutes seven times over four weeks because literally no team is or could be without PEDs. Rice was asked if the team was fit enough to play their gameplan, which is obviously a completely different question as their gameplan is to switch between high pressing and low block football depending on the match situation which, in reality, is what every “pressing team” does anyway.

I was positive after every tournament 2018, 2021 even when we lost in the final I was proud of England, 2022 WC I thought we were great against France and unlucky to go out. Even after Serbia I was positive, a win with a nice goal & Serbia didn't look very threatening, I'll take it. The game vs Denmark was worrying as an England fan, there was clearly confusion on the pitch, lack of gameplan & intensity, we were lucky to string 3 passes together. No threat going forward & Denmark looked the better side. It's hard to be positive after you get outplayed by a team like that, this isn't the same Denmark as 2021, they are way off it, we should be stronger & better since then & we haven't looked good since last year vs Italy. No doubt everyone will be there to support England, but you can expect positivity when we're given a reason to be positive, everyone looking at England right now, English or otherwise does not see a team that can win Euro 2024 based on this year's performances, we look like a team that will get smashed by any team of quality.
@virtualcity7214 күн бұрын
This interview wasn't necessary. Get Southgate on and question him why there is no pace outlet in the front 3. Players can't pass forward because there is no one to pass it to. Because we know Foden will lose the ball as soon as he gets it and Kane is never in position and Saka is probably tired because that's the only route the midfielders feel comfortable using.

He’s probably laughing because football illiterate people misunderstood his words and/or have twisted them. England are not fit enough to play high intensity pressing for 7 matches (four of which are potentially 120 minute matches) over a month because literally no team in world football is. And that’s not just stamina, that’s preventing muscle injuries. Anyone with a grain of common sense can understand why England are not playing a high press for a full 90 minutes of group matches when it’s not that important to do so. The current Euros format pretty much guarantees you qualification to the knockouts with a single win, so it makes absolutely no sense to go full throttle in the group games. We’re already through (barring an absolute freak set of results) with a match to spare while playing in second gear and basically treating the group stage as another three warm-up games before the serious stuff starts. The negativity is crazy.

Championship teams don't settle for less until they win at *all costs*. Every game (even if they played great) is always room for improvement. England hasn't won in a thousand years so yes, keep going with the positivity narrative and it will still not come home.
@rolandscriven60604 күн бұрын
He says that if they are doing a low block, it doesn't mean they are not fit enough. And then he says at points they lost control. The point is: When they do a low block, they lose control. Why are they doing a low block at this level? And not a high pressing game like they do at club level. That is exactly the point!
@Sigfried-df2vp4 күн бұрын
Spot on, England should not be playing a low block in the first place especially so against these lesser teams in the group stage. No wonder the players don’t know what they are doing as they all play for teams that play a high press on the front foot, if your going to play a low block style then Southgate might as well pick players that play for the relegation battlers as they will be used to that style.

@rogerioceni26404 күн бұрын
That’s not how football works, mate. Also bizarre that people think England has the best squad when we have a decent but not world class goalkeeper, no fit left back, one centre back with Champions League experience and one senior CM in the entire squad. We got arguably the best group of attackers and some other very good players but there’s way too many holes in the squad for it to be considered the best.

He's making out that it's only TV pundits that were criticising the performance against Denmark. It's not - it was also the fans, journalists and former players. This team needs to learn to take feedback and criticism. That's the only way they will improve. Less talk, more action please Declan.

the amount of interviews with players, lions den, pundits whining, if these guys win this tournament with amount of noise / press obligations they’ve had I’ll be blown away. what other team is telling the general public how they’re going to play the next game. the coaches on the opposition team must be having a laugh. Fact is that England DID function very well as a unit with Kalvin Phillips on the field. He did the simple things well and linked play between defence and attack, which is specifically where England are struggling right now. Not the best player in the country but the right tool for the job.

Every player and team always play well in every game! Great performance from Belgium against Slovakia, Germany against Switzerland, Italy against Spain, Croatia against Spain and Albania, France against Austria and Netherlands, Denmark against Slovenia, Portugal against the Czech Republic etc. It’s unfortunate that we’re the only team that hasn’t played well every game 👀 Every team has problems to solve, some of the big teams haven’t played well in every game and have issues in certain positions. If we play well in the last group game and get the balance right with our press, we’re in as good a position and we’ve played no differently to any other team. Spain are the only team that have played well in every game so far.

english fans and the media have always been the issue. we think too much of ourselves and put too much pressure on the players and the manager. we all think we're experts too. look at the contradiction of trent. everyone requests southgate to play him in midfield, so he does just that, then everyone criticises it? couldn't make it up man. trent has been used as a scapegoat when he's created more chances than every other english player despite being subbed off twice. make it make sense.
