A few months ago, I featured an episode with a brave lady entrepreneur who despite facing physical hardships after a serious accident had given up an IT job to pursue her passion in food. Your response to it was amazing, and soon Veena’s Kari Dosa street food stall was thriving. Until one day when she returned to her spot to find that the entire lot had been razed to the ground!
Left with no recourse but to begin from scratch again, this time Veena opted for the safety of a shop. Pooling her savings and borrowing some more, she has set up a small Kari Dosa shop in BTM 2nd Stage, Bengaluru. However, the going has been anything but smooth with poor sales and not enough people knowing of her delicious fare. So, she reached out to us requesting support for her enterprise. I rarely ever do this, revisit a place for an episode in less than a span of six months, but I felt this delicious initiative had to be supported. I hope you enjoy the episode and will also be motivated to support Veena’s Kari Dosa stall.

The customers, the people who watch this video, kindly help her, by referring her to as many people as possible. If possible, each one of you, take along atleast two or three people to the outlet, so that they in turn refer to others. Kripal, this is one of your many many videos which I couldn't resist giving a standing ovation....!! Here is Veena, fallen twice and injured, yet, refuses to give up. Took a massive risk of setting up shop in an unfamiliar locality and looking for customers. What sets Veena apart from the crowd is, her confident (a bit diffident?) smile, her 'die hard' attitude and her resolve not to give up...!! However, something that occurs to my mind, which you had also amply articulated, is that she could be a little more practical and prudent in her pricing..! Even that arecanut plate costs 3 to 4 Rs.She should increase the price of plain dosa to 15 and dosa with chicken to 70 to meet ends.Otherwise it will be loss saga for her.

Good morning dear Kripal - Life has to move on … That’s the spirit . I remember the previous vlog when you motivated her & her business bloomed post your visit . So sad that her old place was razed to the ground. I am devastated to note this and can empathise with Veena . It’s so awesome of you to revisit her & motivate her . In a way it’s good that she opened a shop that won’t be bulldozed . Understand that since it’s a couple of months old and business is slow . Now with your visit would have given her a fillip and pray that she would have ton-loads of customers 👍👍🙏🙏 This is a key take away when life knocks you down it’s how one gets up and restart with a vigour 💯💯💯 . So the customer’s favourite is still the curry dosa . Oh the type of oil she uses for different dishes is superb . Whoa a rent of Rs 22 K per month with a slow Buisness could be a negative financial impact . I agree she needs to raise the prices a tad to compensate for the quantum of rent she is paying. Now it’s tasting time . If I am not mistaken you went and visited her stall in between but the shop was closed . Thanks for providing her a feedback on the quality of the dishes between the last time & this time around . Agree that the overheads are high . She has no option but to increase the prices . The preparation of the Mutton Curry dosa ( with Madurai masala ) looks yummy 😋 The excitement on your face while holding the Mutton Curry Dosa followed by your trade mark , head going behind and Hmmm says it all 👌👌👌 Yet another candid feedback . I agree , instead of the quantum of her menu ( spread ) , she needs to focus on the Kari Dosa 👍👍 Once she is able to get the requisite customer footfalls she can then expand her range of dishes and also setting up the eatery open for lunch . This would take some time and patience is the key . Thanks so much dear Kripal for encouraging her and promoting her business. It’s very important for her at this phase before she loses her confidence. May God provide her with all the blessings that she needs to take the business to the next level of commercial success . She needs a lot of support from her old customers , FLTV fans staying in Bengaluru and whomsoever can support. This was a wonderful vlog in the sense that you paid her a visit to encourage her . Our beautiful lady should increase the price of her wonderful menu to reflect her hardwork and courage. This would render her business way more profitable and sustainable in the long run. Charging the right price is not a shame. It is patting yourself on the back. I prefer to pay 40 to 50 rupees rather than 10 rupees for a quality product.
