About the horse, she (yep, it's a a female lol) is an independent AI creature just like Trico in The Last Guardian. You gave her commands that she can ignore, you are not riding a bike but a "real" animal, so try to understand what you can and can't do whit her. PS: Ueda (the creator of SotC and TLG) said that this unique mechanic was actually one of the main inspirations for The Last Guardian.

This is absolutely true. How people got so attached to Agro was the very reason we got Trico. Ueda didn't expect it so he decided to build the next game around that mechanic. It was a brilliant move (IMHO). Also, Agro knows what she needs to do so let her be when riding and only make adjustments to the reins when needed. Don't push and pull her all over the place. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Agro is the greatest horse ever created in a video game.

Some trees have fruit hanging from them. Shoot them down and eat them to upgrade your health bar. If you see a lizard with a white tail, shoot it and eat it to upgrade your grip meter.

Tip: that yellow light below means your stamina, if it starts blinking it is because you have little left and you will get tired or you will fall from the colossus. You are great Nuka!

The land is cursed and the colossuses are cursed. Killing the colossuses removes the curse from that being. That is why I never felt bad in killing the colossuses because we were just curing them of the curse. We know this is true because at the end of the game, Wonder becomes a cursed colossus himself.

It's very fascinating seeing your reaction to the colossus. Actually moreso that you knew they were giants going in. There're discussions that the scale of SOTC doesn't impress anymore considering what games have since been capable of, but the effect it has on you here clearly shows that its presentation managed to stand the test of time.

Just started playing this game for the first time myself, I'm only two Colossi in, but it is such a beautiful game. Kinda puts a lump in my throat. It's crazy to think that this is built from the original code of a game released thirteen years ago! With obvious improvements of course.

The sparkly items are gold coins. Press R2 to pick them (or to interact with other things). There are 79 gold coins in the game, and if you find them all you'll be able to access a very cool secret!

Gotta love a game that was the most beautiful game on the ps2, was remastered and was the best looking game on ps3, remade and is the best looking game on the ps4 and ps5 now. Just insane.

Shadow of the Colossus is supposedly a prequel to Ico. Ueda has said all three games are connected to each other.

Oh just a tip, Its extremely hard to die in this game..but you have to raise your health and grip by eating the fruits and lizard tails (that are glowing) *sorry if you already knew that*

I played this game back in 2005 when it was release in ps2 this is one of my favorite game and ICO too but I am sooooo happy that they remake this game again hopefully they remake ICO too

i only played the original when it was released and i noticed they changed the voice of dormin (nimrod) it now has a mixed voice versus before was like a deep echoish like older mans voice, i like much better how it is now, great little update to the game. Edit: i realize now to that i haven't seen a playthrough were the player realizes that when fighting the 1st colossus to see his weak spot on his calf you needed to go into the light where the grass is (symbolizing life) and use the sword to find it, but i do know the newer versions was made easier, like how Dormin gives you clues a tad faster and spoken straightforward, like hey just cut his leg lol

Wow beatiful game... Oh man, why do you kill the colossi. Yeah, it's like a big beast, but so beautiful and holy. For what, a girl? Of course, the girls and the curiosity of the humans. After the Last Guardian, this was a must. Have a nice trip!

I enjoyed this walkthrough, just a little hint, the round circle is your stamina meter, it depletes as you grab into things or when you charge your stab. also don't forget that pressing L2 can let you center your camera toward the colossi, this can be useful when you face faster colossus later on. good luck

NukaEle the team behind these games really know how to play with your emotions and question choices and morality. Once you get used to the yellow circle being your grip level and knowing when to let go to let it build back up and crouching on certain points of the beasts you’ll be ok. Oh and if you see lizards with silver tails hanging around the preying temples shoot them and grab their tails, they extend your grip time or life I can’t remember. Enjoy it though cos like I say it’s in my all time top 10

NukaEle Fun fact: TLG was inspired by the emotional connections the creator saw players form with the horse in this game. He was fascinated by how strongly people bonded with Agro and decided to make a game all about the player’s relationship with a companion animal.

Hopefully you don't take a long time to beat it like you did The Last Guardian. I only watched your ending video of the last guardian for your reaction (I loved it), and I plan to watch your whole playthrough later. So just now I browsed to see what other games you've played, only to find out when you started playing The Last Guardian and that it took you almost AN ENTIRE YEAR to finish it. What the hell happened?

No I'm releasing an episode a day for this playthrough for sure. TLG took me so long because it was my first ever proper let's play, I was just starting out on KZfaq and I was still in college so I didn't always have time to record videos, I had a really shitty laptop which couldn't run editing software cos it was so old so I edited all my videos at college when I got free time and my college timetable was only 3 days a week so does that help understand why it took so long? xD Thank you for watching the ending though :)

Honestly though, I played through the game a second time and still cried just as much even though I knew what was coming, it’s mostly to do with the experience you go through with Trico, building that bond and emotional connection is what makes it so sad, you’ll love it!
