If he can learn that much this quick, I thought I should try it too. I speak a language called Tigrigna, Amharic, tigre and also Arabic. Always tough Tigrigna was close to Arabic but this clip convinced me that tigrina is closer to Hebrew than it is to Arabic. Although Arabic and Hebrew are close to each other.

@PowerShellWizard Жыл бұрын
As an arab learning hebrew those are either identical or near-identical to Arabic if you're willing to stretch your imagination a bit by either substitiuting or dropping a letter here or there. Also bearing in mind some letters in hebrew evolved in pronounciation over time so they no longer sound like their arabic counterpart. For example the letter ח is pronounced like the arabic خ but it can be helpful to the arab to pretend its ح to make a connection with some words such as the word for we (אנחנו) (see below) For those of you who maybe curious here we go אני = انا אתה = انت (m) את = انت (f) הוא = هو היא = هي אתם = انتم (m pl) אתן = انتن (f pl) הם = هم הן = هن אנחנו = نحن It reeeeeeeeally helps to know the hebrew letters and their closest equivalents in Arabic and to pretend the pronunciation is closer to arabic, at least for a moment. For example the hebrew word for I (אני) sounds identical to the Iraqi dialect pronunciation, اني Hope this helps someone else אני לומד עברית انا اتعلم العبريه

Is there a pronoun for you (plural) when it's both male and female? If I were to address husband and wife together? "Hey, nice to see _you,_ Mr. and Mrs. Cohn!" Or _they_ when talking about a mixed group? Or is by default the _male_ pronoun used on such occasions? Several languages seem to go with that model.
