I get Felix's take on the "Not Phone" I think he wants something like a futuristic PDA or something. It allows you to do everything a phone can, camera, games, entertainment, looking up stuff on the internet, BUT it's not a phone, your phone could be made into a tiny thing that you put on your ear for calls and other communication. I think what he's mostly mad about is the idea of this amazing device being a phone, which should be a thing to make calls or communicate on.

The reason the iPad mini costs more than the regular iPad is because the mini has the A15 chip inside compared to the A13 in the regular iPad. The mini is no longer a miniature version of the regular iPad, it’s now the miniature version of the iPad Air. Ironically, the iPad Air costs $100 more and has the A14 chip inside it, so the iPad mini is actually faster and cheaper.

A somewhat Apple Fanboys take: iPad Mini is probably the biggest upgrade. Immensely better than the last version. That size of the display is really only for a small pool of people though. iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro are much useful for most people in my opinion; I have a 12.9" iPad Pro for school and I never buy or use paper anymore, definitely worth it. Watch Series 7 is dogshit, the worst upgrade they've ever made. Watch SE is probably the only one worth getting and it's pretty much just a very premium cardio and step tracker, don't expect the Watch to replace your phone, nobody texts or calls from these things. iPhone 13 and 13 mini are just not it. Barely any difference from last years models other than battery life. iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are OKAY. 120hz is FINALLY here for the Pro models and it's probably the best part of the phone. Other than that the extra battery life is pretty awesome. I'll probably get a 13 Pro Max because my phone is 4-5 years old. I usually wait a while then get the flagship phone years later.

i think they add phone functions on tablets for the reason so it can connect to 5g data networks i dont think people use the cp function on tablets to call if they do its a rare amount but i think they add it so the tablet can connect to networks without wifi but with data

What I always wonder is how they calculate battery life, cause if I'm binging KZfaq on max brightness I get like 6-8 hour battery life playing games it's like 4-5 hours. But if I just send a text every now and then like I assume most non degens would use a phone, the battery lasts like 40 hours.

The device on the right of the macbook is an oscilloscope, the device on the left is a high-end soldering station, and the big screen in the back right is hooked up to a logic analyzer and is displaying digital/timing waveforms. Later on in the video you can see pcb holding arms for testing/soldering. You can see a soldering mat with one of those fancy magnifying glasses so you can retain stereoscopic vision while soldering. They definitely cleaned the room though before the shoot, that's why it looks fake. A real lab would have more wires, papers, and random stuff everywhere.
