Happy Pride Month, everyone! Let it be known that just because organized Christianity says you shouldn't support the LGBTQ community, that does not give you the freedom to act like an asshole! Love thy neighbor!

"Jesus at a gay bar, it sounds silly" You think so? Because I think it's one of the coolest titles I've heard in the last decade or so. Top ten minimum.

When I heard the title of the poem, it came to my mind that, if Jesus was here today, he would most certainly be preaching the holy word at gay bars

My father and I once had a conversation about this same topic, because my step brother, the son of the woman he married, is openly gay. As a Christian, and when I was more questioning the word, I asked him what he thought about my brother. My dad says he loves the guy, he's fun, he's kind, and he's of course, his step son. But that's the thing, he said. I love him as a person, not the lifestyle. And I think that's what Jesus meant when he says love thy neighbor. You don't love them only because they are Christian, you don't refuse love because you don't understand them or you don't agree with their decisions or lifestyle. You love them, for them, and you do what you can for them. And while I myself am an ally, and I don't understand EVERY facet of the community, I support and love the people I know, because regardless of where they stand, we are all made in his image.

Yeah nah, it’s not a ‘lifestyle’ any more than being heterosexual is a lifestyle. A lifestyle is something you choose. Being LGBTQ+ isn’t a lifestyle. But you know what is? Being Christian.

I remember wondering about my sexuality for a long time. I told my mom I thought I was asexual, and she snapped at me and said I was 'too young' to make that decision. I told her again a few years later, and she just said 'okay'. Her memory's always been pretty bad, so she'd forgotten all about it. These days, my parents just jokingly make comments about the idea of me having kids (they know they're only getting grandkids from my brother, and they're fine with that). But, yeah, a little more research and I finally have an understanding of myself. Asexuality is a spectrum, and I fall in the category of 'apothisexual aromantic'; no romantic interest, sex repulsed. There's also a couple of apothisexual variants depending on how sex repulsed you are, and I'm the kind that's only repulsed by the idea of me having sex, rather than repulsed by sex in general.

Very good topic! Also very good idea to have Sheikah on this episode. I stupidly assumed they identified as non-binary ^^; I'll do my best to better remember! As for love thy neighbour as yourself.. I find that rather crude. I prefer to love others more than I love myself :P

It's nice that you, just for a moment, touch up ComicFoil's initial struggle with his asexuality, as that is really something that I experience as well. I feel that it fit in the ace spectrum, but at the same time I worry it's not my place to "claim" (for lack of a better term) such an identity just because, despite my age, I haven't been in physical encounters of sexual nature. The whole "how do you know if you've never done it?" line of questioning. And I don't mean to say that this was the basis for Comic's struggle, everyone has their own story, it's just that hearing about that reminded me of myself, if that makes sense. I guess what I mean to say is: It's tough to figure such things out. In such cases it really helps to.. talk to others, hear their stories.

12:20 I didn't know those ennemies had a blind spot here, this will make fighting them so much easier holy heck. Also yup, welcome to the second part of the game, just like in the first game you have now more areas to explore with more bosses to face, have fun. On the topic of LGBT, I am bisexual, even probably pan but since I have not dated a trans of nb person I am not sure. The first time I talked about it with my girlfriend she took it pretty baddly, thinking that she was not enough and that I would probably ditch her to go date a boy to "fulfill that void that she couldn't", but in the end we talked about it and it strenghtened our relationship. On another topic I wanted to contact you via MP because I wanted to propose to translate your videos in french in order to add french subs to to them, but I don't know how to MP you since youtube doesn't have that function anymore and twitter...well is twitter and you have to pay for it, thank Elon. Sorry if the message is a bit late for you I live on the other side of the Atlantic.

So, I am not sure how I completely feel about this, but do you believe people of faith should respect other people's positions in theirs? I think I told this story before, but I did some wandering, and as I did, at a street light, I ran into this old woman, who was willing to have a casual chat, see how I was doing, and I was honest, sore legs and such. She used that as a crutch to offer me a business card for her church. Now, I could have told her I was not local. I could have taken them to appease her and done whatever to them outside her view, but in my personal view, I wished she would accept my stance as I declined them, and told her honestly I stepped out of faith. She pushed the cards towards me again, saying, "It could be a chance to find your way back." A bit annoyed, I gave a vague reply about faith (being vague on her, specially) being pushy about it, which she tried to deny at my remark. At hat point, the light changed so I could part ways, but I was still courteous, thanked her for her offer, and went on my way. It feels stupid to think I was in the wrong with being honest, but would you think it better if I did take them to discard them later or stand up to my views like I did?
@greenscorpion64
@greenscorpion64 23 күн бұрын
That's a case of using your better judgement. It is good to be honest, but avoiding certain confrontations knowing that nothing will come of them later is also a valid action. From your story, though, it sounds like you did your best to be respectful and that is enough. Whether you told her straight up you weren't interested or took the card and just tossed it later, you didn't lack respect and that's good enough. She has her beliefs, you have yours. So as for your question, yes, you should respect others positions regarding their faith... UNLESS that position is encroaching on others in a negative way. Otherwise, just be honest with yourself and do what you feel is right.

In the let's play of Blasphemous 1, I talked about my controversial stance on the LGBT community, where I said that straight and asexual people are normal, bi people are relatively normal since they're just trying new stuff out and the rest of this community is not normal and natural at all (I mean gay, transpeople and so on), and that I would tolerate them as long as they don't force their values on me. Well, there is a study, also controversial, that concerns finding a relation between having nontraditional sexual orientation and having psycological diseases and issues (i.e. Shizophrenia). The results are shocking to say the least and definetily should be taken for a grain of salt: about *80 to 90%* of LGBT people have some sort of a psycological issue with them, probably making them change their sexual orientation and gender.
