Let's Play Crusader Kings 3 III Legends of the Dead | Persia Kesranid Dynasty CK3 Gameplay Episode 4

Join me as we play the Crusader Kings III expansion, Legends of the Dead! We'll be playing as one of the last Persian characters who is still independent in the 1066 start date, Shirvanshah Fariburz Salarzade of House Kesranid. Our goal will be the defeat of the Seljuk Turks and the reestablishment of the Persian Empire. We'll be using the many new features and mechanics added in the Legacy of Persia DLC for the first time as well.
I discuss my reasoning and strategy as I play, thus this walkthrough could serve as a tutorial or guide.

really excited to see you go back to ck3, been a while! I'm from the area you're playing in so this is extra interesting a campaign idea/goal is to create a hybrid culture between the Persian and Turkic culture and call it Azeri/Azerbaijani which is culture of the people in that region today. Azerbaijani culture is a really beautiful mix between Persian and Turkic influences

Certainly an interesting suggestion that I'll consider, I did like the idea of remaining Persian and reconquering our homeland though.

Before our ruler dies dont forget to send on him a pilgrimage to Mecca. Making the Hajj at least once in his life is one of the 5 religious obligations for all Muslims.

Yeah we're getting a penalty to our piety because we haven't gone yet. Those long trips can be a bit expensive though.

9:18 They pronounce that what way? 😅 Is this another aluminum sort of situation where y'all just make up your own way to pronounce words? 😁

I'm not sure why the "re" is silent in the American version of the word, since unlike many other words that are different here than in the UK (such as aluminum vs aluminium), we didn't even bother to change the spelling lol
